How did you work it out? Adding ezkeys to a song often crashes Studio One here... (Not always)
There's a couple things that happen here:

- flipping between different chords in the chord selector eventual causes EZkeys to slow down to the point where it becomes comepletely unresponsive. I've gotten around that by saving and restarting the project when I notice EZkeys is starting to lag.

- Then there is their known issue where right clicking to preview the chords in the EZkeys arranger timeline causes an outright crash, i.e. poof; all gone. Obvious work around was to stop right clicking the chords in the arranger.

- Finally, sometimes when I load a project with EZkeys and EZdrummer, they are both extremely sluggish loading their samples. Just have to wait it out.

I'm using v.1.1.1

Interesting to see people having problems on Mac but not on Windows with Studio One - my experience is totally the opposite. I had all sorts of performance issues with Studio One running on XP (CPU spikes at random points) whereas on a brand new Mac Mini i5 (yeah yeah, I'm skint, ok!) I have no problems at all.

Definitely a YMMV one :)

You can use wikipedia to research when XP was released.

btw i tried to replicate those with 1.1.1 (in S1V2.5 latest build, 64bit) in an otherwise empty project and failed.

maybe in your project there is another plugin causing ezkeys to misbehave?

Well, as I said, the project has EZdrummer as well, so maybe that has something to do with it. I'll mess around with it some more and see if I can get any concrete details.

I know this thread is a couple months old, but oh well.

Anyway, recently ive been having serious crashes with S1. Some projects just wont open. At first i thought it was a problem with EQuick crashing it, but IIEQ crashes it also. Im sure those arnt the only ones that do it, i just havent had the patience to sit around and let it crash all day.

Seems to be working fine in 32bit

Anyone have any luck getting S1 to not crash?

Post

Well, currently it's not crashing here. I know that is of no help.

Post

The sluggish instrument loading is present in other hosts, so not an S1 issue. The other issues I listed are EZkeys issues.

Anyway, thought I'd mention that I've had no further problems with S1.

Using latest 64bit version. To be fair though, it's not getting a great deal of use. I open it up here and there and mess around with a song I started in it, but mostly I'm working elsewhere on other things. Waiting to see what V3 brings to the feature-set.
