I watched the demo of this to listen to the sounds and I was thinking the same thing.

I like the sound of it with some of the presets, and it mangles nicely.

But working with the UI makes me want to shove my face through a wall. The email said something about a smaller UI coming in the future, and I hope it's also more tasteful and easier to work with because OUCH.

i like the gui, yeah it's a bit big
but i prefer that to it being too small

and like you said, there will be a smaller one available soon

Yeah, I don't mind the look or size of the GUI but I'm finding it hard to get to grips with it when it comes to sound shaping. What I do like are the actual sound and how it's a bit crusty and you can tweak that crust (or go into Hi-fi mode to get rid of it) in quite a few cool ways.

In short, it really sounds like an old Megadrive. Maybe not exactly but it evokes the spirit beautifully.

In case someone missed it. The 33000 sounds are here.
A SEGA fan friend of mine just purchased it for me.

HD Crystal output mode sounds very well, kind of extra harmonics in the higher freqs.

Now let me check those 33000 sounds.

those rips cant be legal.

those sounds ripped from games are available since decades and available over the whole net. this is not the first attempt in this direction. there are many converters, rippers, hardware bendings and god know what else only for this gamesounds and nobody care about it since years. its like a secret agreement between sony and the nerds.

i'll try it tomorrow: the vst just arrived.
