It sounds like a track from the 1920s

so it will be chanelled elsewhere...
It could fit into this comp. I've heard 1920s style music used for things set in the future before. I don't think there's a wrong style of music for this month. It's the future sound of KVR, not what the future sounds like. Maybe people will be making 1920s style music in the future.

I just submitted it as an advertisement in the year 2063 seeking astro-chemists to work on the moon at Lunar Base KVR where they can play in the giant music studios called Pizza Berlin after work from the laboratories at night.

I would love to have a job like that ! :P

But alas, In real life, I was a biogeochemist PhD by training that only has an earthbound home studio for night play.

@Beanpole - I can't download your entry at the moment - I managed to play it once when you first posted but now it seems that fileden.com is unavailable.

Is the song available for download anywhere else?

Post

I had troubles downloading it too, but eventually it started. Literally about 5 minutes after I clicked save link as it suddenly popped up on the screen.

EDIT: And I just double checked the file. It didn't actually download the mp3.

Fileden seems to be down. I've PM'd beanpole.

Submissions thread is locked, voting thread is up.

Next month:
This month you're asked to submit a work song, using this definition from Wikipedia:
A work song is a piece of music closely connected to a specific form of work, either sung while conducting a task (often to coordinate timing) or a song linked to a task or trade which might be a connected narrative, description, or protest song.

Time ran out as usual :(

I had what I thought of as a pretty good idea for this month, but just didn't get round to recording it...

Post

With Fileden down I have uploaded the song to Soundcloud

I will PM D.H.Miltz to add it to the submissions thread as it is locked at present.

Rocking Chair Memories

Alas, too late (got caught in a time warping loop) :(

Anyway, here it is for your pleasure and outside of the competition:

A piece of educational music played every morning of 2063 in the Chinese-German-English school of Schwerte/Germany to teach children the OneChildOneLoopOneRhythm mantra of the long established Chinese leaders. Make those little buggers internalize!

Of course they play in the style of Bejxing Beefaloo, the latest global dance craze, to get into the brain of their students. Remember back in 2013 when they had hip hop songs to teach mathematics?

Nice idea - shame you missed the deadline, I hope you emerged from the time loop ok. Did you pick up any lottery numbers while you were there?

No. I firmly kept my eyes closed. Didn't want to end up as Biff Tannen II.

@ Boogie Maths: Genius indeed :D

What does everyone think of having a standard album tag such as KVR APRIL 2013? This just so it's easy to put all the tracks onto a phone and have them come up as an album rather than having to add each to a playlist. I don't care what the album name is as long as it's standard. Would this work for everyone else?
