Hey guys, Was wondering how axwell made this bass that starts around 0:45. In particular, which waves were used and how did he get his bass to sound so fat, but not too low and gritty.

yea the bassdrum and bassline are both dope, but i can't seem to re-create the bass sound using a saw wave and filtering it and then compressing it with a multiband compressor. Did you use parallel compression to make it stand out more?

ya i think to much sub here. Also this isnt as punchy, seems kind of "loose" more like a trance kick in my opinion. The axwell one has such punch to ititsNano wrote:well, here is my attempt at the kick. Does it have too much sub bass? let me know your thoughts plz. i'll try to recreate the bass and post it up too.

Ya i thought it was too much sub, should i bring the volume of it down or put the release of the sub down? Also, for the punch, i exported it to mp3, and then soundcloud did it's own coloring to the sound as well, so it really got screwed up after that lol.

i would do both to be honest, lower it, and tighten up the decay a bit as well. How hard is it compressed? im sure axwell has his kicks compressed a ton to give them that energyitsNano wrote:Ya i thought it was too much sub, should i bring the volume of it down or put the release of the sub down?
