That was a fun listen, thanks! The only really glaring difference is the minimoog's pitch-instability is way more chaotic, the depth seems right. That being said - I doubt that is could be heard in an average mix.

Same if I try to load the snapshot. It's a full ver of Reaktor with monark.ens loaded. Just doesn't work through the user presets etc.

I have the same problem with the snapshot bank put into the snapshot user folder with Reaktor 5.8: "Not a valid Reaktor file!"

I would like to recreate a nice Moog Mini Velocity Growl and Punchy Boogie Bass in Vanguard or Predator any ideas?? I want to learn to make these Moog basses and Taurus basses in these or any other free vsts. I would like too see if this can be done in any other vsts excepting the typical Diva, Minimogue V, Minimonsta or Monark.. any ideas?? I also heard of "Minimoog Patch books" where can I get this info for free?

the patchbook Ingo copied from is called "ClassiC Minimoog sounds" published by Klaus P. Rausch in 2003.

ingo firstly just found it around the net (from a site which hosted it illegaly) and he even provided a link to it in this thread before he realized the patchbook was a commercial release which actually belonged to a kvr member (KPR= Klaus P. Rausch) .you may still find it by googling it but doubt a link to it can be provided here.

a punchy "boogie" 80s funk bass or those ressy punchy sounds are simple but trivial to make without a 24db 0dff (and those synths you mention are not 0dff). you can still make them but they will have a plasticity about them which will not give them the real deal impact. they will sound ok..but no cigar. for this very reason not even in arturia minimoog V a funk bass will sound completely satisfactory in comparison to the 80s ones.
a typical sawtooth moog funk bass ("boogie") is just 3 saws at different octaves through modulated filter with a punchy filter envelope setting and with resonance about mid way up (exactly the critical setting where a non-0dff exhibits its "plasticky" sound).
there is a reason why any good electrofunk artists who released records between 2000-2010 used analog synths. ...and suddenly since 0dff they are finally switching over.
btw you don't need necssarily a moog filter to make great funky sounds (although its saturation and non linearities give it an edge)...even rolands and pro5s and korg monopolys were used for funk basses...so as long as it's a good steep 0dff you should be able to funk it as good as 80s analog did.
the mini growl is another story...it's about driven filter and driven vca...still requires hefty resonance so 0dff might still be important in placing the non linearities correctly when modulated....but not sure the lack of 0dff would be such a deal breaker.

Zero Delay feedback filters seem to be in:

Diva, Monark, Saurus, Oxium, Synthix, PolyKB II, Xils 3, TAL U-NO-LX, D16 LuSH-101, Charlatan, Corona and MauSynth.

From the Xils synths Oxium seems to have the most advanced version of the 0df filters. Other Xils synths seem to use earlier versions which does not mean they don't have it.

If you are going to get authentic Minimoog sounds i'm not sure how far Corona could do those. For me Monark is the bets for taht so far.

OK, i understand. For making the full use (including modifications) you would also need Reaktor 5 or Komplete which could be quite expensive.

MY personal "go to" VA synths are Tone2 Saurus and Xils Oxium which both use zero delay feedback filters.
With Saurus i already created more than 200 patches.
Same for Tone2 Rayblaster and Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V so just based on the amount of patches i made those three are my favorite synths.
If i create my own patches with Monark besides the 128 done already it could be the next to reach 200.
