Does anyone know if Bitwig will be able to be controlled by Push in a mode that actually allows the use of the display and coloured buttons. Push doesn't seem to do anything with other DAWs and the User mode in Live is completely unlit everywhere, which is lame. I wonder if they'll be able to make use of it with scripts as if it were a third party controller. I love my Push, it would probably be the only thing keeping me with Live if Bitwig has proper PDC and decent CPU performance.

Push sends out midi fine to other daws. No that Ive used it much in that mode but I have pulled it into s1v2 and used it to send notes.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Does anyone know if Bitwig will be able to be controlled by Push in a mode that actually allows the use of the display and coloured buttons. The user mode is unlit because its dependent on scripts you write, its a blank canvas. The nativekontrol guys have a beta going of their usermode script which adds a ton of functionality. Plus its nice that user mode is on a separate port, so you can hit the user button and easily swap between standard, and any scripts you setup for user

All good to know, thanks! That's what I figured but I didn't want to get my hopes up.ezelkow1 wrote:Push sends out midi fine to other daws. Looking forward to seeing what the Native Kontrol chaps are up to. Any discussion anywhere?
Looking even more forward to what they (or anyone else) inevitably comes up with for bitwig. Also looking forward to diving into a bit of javascript with Bitwig.
By the way, I couldn't get Studio One to respond to Push in user mode. I was only trying to use control link, but it wouldn't see it or learn to it.

Heres the beta thread, dont know if they are still accepting people or not. First post has a list of all the features they added. Most notably a step sequencer with 8lane note input, plus touch control of the strip (last touched parameter is controlled by touch strip). :

BTW their answer in FB
Probably a good sign that they dont expect it to be more than the 299€ seen by liquidsound ?
Unfortunately you're right, this is only one of the "placeholder" prices some shops make up themselves as we have not communicated prices to the shops yet. But thanks anyway, we sent them a message so that it does not confuse people!

After visiting their site and reading the FAQ I found this:

Since I use Rewire frequently this is a show stopper for me so I will pass(if and when they ever release this program). Besides it looks more like a hybrid of Project 5 and Live and I have those already AND they support rewire.qoute:
There is no ReWire support planned, but if you want to route audio and MIDI between different applications, you might want to take a look at the JACK Audio Connection Kit, which is available for OSX, Win and Linux.

Poor, Poor Electrix. Not only are they repeat failures at maintaining a viable business running, here they are yet again trying to convince consumers that they are legititmate.
Please notice in this video, that it shows a "hand" pushing buttons on a device with the "Electrix" logo-- then cutting to screen shots of Bitwig Studio and NEVER are the two shown in the same scene TOGETHER.
Jeez...HA...
