Recreating Roland D50 on Reason 2.5

Hi,
I have sampled the PCM samples and raw waveforms from a Roland D50 onto my Sony Minidisc Recorder. Now I can create my own Roland D50 sounds on Reason's NN-XT by using the parametres of the NN-XT to modulate and programme the PCM samples and raw waveforms to make sounds. I have also recreated classic D50 sounds such as Intruder FX, Soundtrack and Native Digital Dance. I have also done the same with my old Kawai K1.
I would share the PCM samples and raw saw/square waveforms with other musicians if it wasn't for copyright problems.
Regards

...very strange...
I mean... I have a D550 too... and like very much to put it in the mix... so why to sample it???
It's midi ... it's easy... it's the real one...
I think roland will kill you if you spread that samples. They recently released the D50 card for the roland V-synth... so they know that D50 is still a great synth. I really hope they emulate Korg ( legacy ) and release a D50 Vst...
In the meanwhile just plays the original great warm hottest sweeping pad on earth !!!
Resonance Sweep to everybody !

Because I don't have a Roland D50 and cannot afford one. The D50 i sampled was when I was at a friend's cousin's house.

I cannot see Roland ever getting into the vst thing anyway. I get the impression that they are not even interested in reproducing the D50 in vsti software unlike Korg. They would rather stick to emulating classic synths for their own hardware like V Synth.mao wrote:...very strange...![]()

Anyone wanting to swap their Roland D50 for my Roland D110 and Juno 106?
I'm serious!!
Is there any readers ads sites on the net where i could advertise this.
I've been thinking of doing this for a long time.

Actually, if you go over into "Hosts" and look at this thread, you'll see that Roland has cut a deal with Cakewalk to offer some of their instrument sounds in DXI format. Alas, locked to either Kinetic or P5 (why not Sonar?) but either of these can be rewired to Sonar, etc. It sounds more promising than the VSC, Orchestral, etc do.Artmuzz wrote:I cannot see Roland ever getting into the vst thing anyway. If you haven't been following that thread, Kinetic appears to be P5-Junior (think how Home Studio compares to Sonar).

There is already a D50 Refill out there, but I don't know if its for the NNXT or the NN19.

I know there is a D50 refill for Reason because i have a copy but you are limited to the samples. With what I have done myself it means that you can choose which PCM sample and loops to use and adjust them using the NN-TX parametres and apply the genuine Roland D50 sawtooth and square waves (which you can adjust with the parametres aswell) to create your own sounds aswell as to create the famous D50 sounds.drez wrote:There is already a D50 Refill out there, but I don't know if its for the NNXT or the NN19.
My sounds sound so close to the real thing especially Intruder FX where I applied one of the PCM loop samples and put reverb on it while i mixed it with (weird hiss growl) resonance filter sweeps and spectrum1 PCM sample.
I guess its easy with any Sample and synthesis synth from the 80's/90's as it relyed on PCM samples and synthesis.
