froombosch wrote: The biggest difference is the amount/speed of modulation. The vintage modulation speed is much higher, giving artifacts on material that have note information. It is a kind of chorus that can be amazing, but also can be not desired. The modern algo has a lot slower modulation, so these artifacts are a lot smaller, but on the downside you can hear the different delays much more clearly. The original EMT250 does not have this algo.

Thanks a lot, thought it must be linked to modulation/chorus.
BTW, small typo maybe on page 7 of 250 Manual ??

Top of page >> "4. Parameters of EMpTy 250 Chorus".

Thanks for the report. The manuals have to be updated, because the installer information is also old and not right. But bughunting AU and AAX will be first. :)

Perfect priorities :D

Anyway, I should say thanks to Theo for starting this thread.

I have read about the Dim D and the 250 for ages on various Forums but, for whatever reason, had never paid close enough attention.

Theo's thread resulted in me finally getting Dim D and the 250 and they are both really, really nice, great work Harrie.

I love the simplicity of both

Yes! Theo pushed me forward with a lot of great bugreports and lengthy discussions on email. He is the man!

Has the demo version been updated? (the previous version simply remained in bypass.. at least on Mac).. And, will the demo keyfile still work for it?
I have been wanting to try this reverb for ages ;).
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

We are sstiull testing things with a few beta-testers. If all goes well and things are looking pretty good at this moment I will update the demo versions. Please wait for a few days for that.

Excuse me Harrie, sorry if this question has been asked many times, will there be a MAC VST x64 of DimD any time soon? I just bought it but failed to check for 64bit VST first :( silly pants

It is already available for download after purchase. I am doing a lot of demo changes on the website this weekend and then you will be able to try the newest versions. Also the windows 8 installers will be uploaded.

Awesome :)
I will keep an eye on my account then. Thank you.

:?

I'll check my account and see if i download the latest DImD again, what happens.

PS how good is that chorus mate?
I've downloaded from the links in my account, a few times, but there is no 64-bit compatible OSX VST inside. The 32-bit version seems to have intermittent issues with jBridgeM so I can't really use it in my productions yet.

Yes it's a great sound, I think better than the UAD emulation perhaps.

Any luck with your download Theo? I just tried again with no 64-bit prize inside :(

jBridged it works in Live 9 ok, but in Cubase i have a few semi-crashes where the GUI just won't show. Maybe a jBridge issue?... I'll give it another go in a mo...

Harry returned one of my emails a few days ago, he's busy as fudge. Just thought maybe there was a 64-bit version hiding somewhere I was unaware of.

Cheers Theo

Hello all,

Theo is right, the little spare time I had the last few days was spend in reprogramming the EMpTy250 so that the last bug is away for the AU version and the CPU hunger is gone. Other things have been pushed aside, but it takes more time then expected. I'll deal with other support questions in the next few days. Sometimes I wish a day had a few more hours.
