What's next Dave?

If you follow delay threads here you will see people complaining that the 'perfect delay' has not been built yet. There are many that are great in particular areas of functionality or that sound great, but always people think something is missing. How about building a modular configurable multitap delay, with pitch funk like modulation abilities, that models the sound of classic delay units, and that is as 'complete' as Compassion & EQuilibrium?

Just wishful thinking on my part ... I am sure you have plans! :-)

I believe that Bloom is great delay, you have everything on it, but the CPU usage is silly, so yes, Dave make a proper delay, thank you. :)

Another feature request - at the moment when you create an HPF or LPF band, the frequency defaults to 1000hz, which is a bit annoying...

When I use HPF & LPF filters, I generally want to start from scratch and "dial in" the frequency gradually... a lot of other EQ plugins (including EQuality) have their HPF & LPF set up this way, so I guess it's a common way of doing HPF & LPF bands... starting these filters 1000hz in both cases just means you've gotta manually take them back down or up, which is a bit of an annoyance.

It'd be awesome for an HPF to start right at the bottom (say 10hz) and an LPF to start right at the top (22050hz) so that you can dial them like this.

Also is there a way to make MIDI tracking a per-instance setting rather than a global setting? It's an amazing thing but should be able to be set per-instance for sure

EQuilibrium v1.04 out now. More fixes and usability improvements!

Grab it from http://dmgaudio.com/products_equilibrium.php under the "Downloads" tab.

Changes:

- Fix SaveAs crash in Logic (crash in save/load under rare circumstances)
- MIDI Preference defaults to OFF for new installs.
- Rework selection. Now grouped bands form a group independent of current selection.
- Preference added to disable band linking completely.
- Fix keyboard note readout to stay onscreen.
- Fix trivial graphical glitch on windows.
- Don't create a submenu for Notch bands.
- Fix memory leak for AAX.
- Fix clicking with coincident/butterworth in Digital+ mode.
- Fix pops with 4kg lowshelf.

Is it possible in this EQ to have a separate "mix down quality" option? Let say while working I want to have no up sampling but when I mix down I would like to engage extreme quality settings?

Bug in studio one 2 still present. Daw freezes when choosing some presets. This happens in windows 7, 32bit

The first time you open the plugin GUI in Ableton the window doesn't draw correctly... has been like this with all versions of EQuilibrium and all versions of Live 9 so far... this screenshot taken with EQuilibrium 1.04 and Live 9.0.4

Closing & reopening the GUI window makes it draw correctly

- Rework selection. Now grouped bands form a group independent of current selection.
How does this work? If I shift click 3 bands to change the type of peak filter for all 3 together(say from 550 to DMG) - now I go to change the gain for one of the bands (either dragging over the gain numbers, or the plot on the graph) - and I forget to "ungroup" - and all 3 are adjusted.

I do this all the time ;-)

What's the difference between "current selection" and the group?

Suppose you had selected some bands. Adjusting a non-selected band WOULD cause the selected bands to move too. This was a problem. This has been resolved. Now, only adjusting a selected band will cause other selected bands to move. Adjusting an unselected band will not affect the selected bands.

If it's still annoying you, just engage the "Disable Band Linking" preference, and you'll be free from it :)

Hi,

I'm not seeing that here, and this is the first report of it. Are you using AU or VST? x32 or x64?
Have you completed the Setup Wizard, or did you skip? Have you saved a default startup state?

Can you drop me an email with some details, and I'll get this cleared up.

Dave.

Ahh, I get it thanks. (actually what I was thinking was stupid)
Thanks for the patient explanation ;-)
"Disable Band Linking"
That's exactly what I'll do if it still gets on my nerves ;-)

Thanks for the update. It seems the fix for Logic surround bug is still pending.
