I just realized today that I should bring this to your attention. Is this normal?

Opinions so far:
1 says it's not shady
1 says it's shady

I do not get past the notion of "scarcity" of a digital product in the first place, so I have no way to even comprehend this problem.

Limited supply is a completely pre-21st century phenomenon. That's what is "shady" about the situation...

That would have been my 3rd 1st guess.

I guess technically it's a hybrid... since it was being shipped. But that's irrelevant, as you stated it's 21st century. Did you see my C++ code posted earlier for solving this problem?

If I pay for a deal that contains X-Y-Z and the company promises delivery then fails to deliver Z that sounds like fraud. I'd contact my Credit Card company and ask for a charge back.....you can argue that those items were "free" but they were offered as incentive to purchase.

I don't think MF is evil they just F*cked up in this case...

I took advantage of this offer and split the deal sending Toxic Biohazard on since I already owned it so I'm certainly happy with the deal.

Oh and by the way the 4 gig thumb drive was nice but the samples on it are utter crap....but then I'm not much of a loop man.......

I see the deal has been removed and TBio is now $79 with the thumb drive but you can get it cheaper at JRR Shop until the end of May....I'd say the thumb driver isn't worth it....

They come in empty DVD cases with a card inside with the serial number so they ran out of those.....

Let me know when you get tired of Effectrix, PM me :hihi:
I don't really use it, but I already registered it so I guess I 'll hang on to it. :?

I just liked getting Toxic for such a cheap price :)

Obviously the Musician Friends haven't counted the DVD cases after the truck had delivered them. :x

Of course I'm grateful for the Toxic price... wonderful price. Yeah the thumb drive content was dodgy.

Did you contact MF for an explanation or a possible without hesitation makeup gift? If you got a response, would you mind sharing it?

Didn't see this post... good point! And if this does happen it leaves everyone with an awkward situation, since it was free in the first place... wish they would just tell me: 'Hey look BJPorter... Jimmy in the back messed up this time. We put him in the corner with a dunce cap for one hour'

definitely shady and unacceptable.

If they're not offering you a partial refund for the portion of the order they can no longer fulfill, then yeah, it's super shady.

I replied to Musician's friend that other people were having the same problem, and referred them to this thread.
