I'm super glad, as I'm a dedicated Firewire fanatic. It's still the most reliable external interface for rock-solid audio - much better than USB. I'm a happy camper, because I have a bazooka for an audio interface, a Mackie 1640i mixer, with 16 discrete digital channels, 16 balanced Onyx mic pres, 3 assignable stereo output buses per track, everything assignable with button presses vs. wire routing, etc. It's a luxurious way to go.
I have it rack-mounted

For some reason, I had to reboot the machine twice before it worked, but Windows loaded drivers for it automagically (then I loaded up the Mackie driver).
All's well in audioland now
