They do not tell you what you CAN and can NOT buy outside the USA until it's in your cart and you try to check out.

90% of stuff is USA only, and it gets more ridiculous.. including downloads.
Hey Theo,

I am sorry to read you have had such hassles trying to order with us. For international orders it comes down to our agreements with the manufacturers whether or not we are able to ship products internationally. We do post links on the page for eligible products that will provide you a full list of countries that item ships to. If you pull up a product on the right eligible products will have a ships worldwide link on the right. A good example would be the toxic bio hazard software that was included in the recent bundle many purchased here. (item number H89814000000000) If a product does not include this link it will be US only. Regarding the email issue please forward me the addresses you are receiving emails from to forums@musiciansfriend.com and I would be happy to remove you from all of our email listings. Also are the items you were looking to purchase still in your cart?

Thank you for your feedback and I look forward to hearing from you!

How many times i have added something to my cart, and been ready to pay, to be told i can't have it. It's well, it's damn outrageous, and they should say clearly, USA only on something.
For international orders they have a globe icon on the right which clearly says "Ships Worldwide". If there ain't one, it's USA only (i. e. the truck icon with "Free Shipping" means US shipping only).

The problem regarding this deal was that Toxic had "Worldwide Shipping" while Effectrix was "USA-only". So what should I do as an international customer? Buy Toxic only? (Which doesn't make sense for me because I already own Toxic).

So we engaged an other KVR member from the USA to do the order to get Toxic AND Effectrix - but we didn't get Effectrix because the MF out-of-stock-problem. :(

I'll change the forum thread title to make it more than Musician's Friend, any suggestions... maybe 'The darker side of plugin deals' or 'Post your bad experience with plugin deals' something like that

Let me know

If you can resist...

Most special low-price deals are offered by independent dealers because they want to guide people to their online shop in the hope that they'll buy something more. The developers themselves are trying to keep the prices (equal).

I've never had any big problem with deals, the MF out-of-stock issue was the first one regarding non-delivered, ordered products.
this was the 2nd time in a few weeks. 1st time here in germany with the beat magazine and ozone5 and now this mf deal with effectrix. i have enough believe me i will resist.

we have 2013 and this people arent able to limit the orders in time? that is really stone-age.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Yeah, but that is the same with Amazon.com, and a lot of other online dealers.

If you gonna go after somebody for doing that, you need to take them all on ;)

I agree, and ultimately, this thread will help companies like Musician's friend to make better deals in the future!

People don't be afraid to tell us about your bad deal experience :)

There should be 2 sections in the Market Place: one for positive feedback, and one for negative feedback...

And another one with the thread: What is the best inventory tracking software? How to organize your warehouse...
