I think you should all be aware this is only a replica of a red 101.

That's true and the blue ones are very good for playing the bluesMushy Mushy wrote:I think you should all be aware this is only a replica of a red 101.

Listening to the oscillator samples either:
1. The first in the set is louder
or
2. The first in the set has a louder more pronounced transient
Otherwise, they're very close.
I found the filters to be close enough to not be able to point any major differences.
In some of the examples with the playing you can hear the more pronounced attack in the first examples, but again, very close.
Good stuff. I'm excited for this.
Just to add: the difference is probably not so much with the oscillators but rather in the amp/ADSR section where the hardware is producing a more pronounced spike on note on than the model.

Cool! Looking forward to this one! I hope the background colour will be selectable, red/blue/gray...or customisable, green, white, day-glow orange!
Conclusions: Possibly a slightly softer attack on VST. Not always there, so i could be imagining it. On the high resonance sweep sounds the res always kicked in too soon, at a slightly higher pitch in the sweep. That could be tweaked to be a little less enthusiastic, hehe.
Otherwise, as an owner of U-NO-LX, this is a no brainer. Count me in.

I heard the same thing with the Juno samples he posted very early on. It improved somewhat, but it never got 100%. That said, in the end, the difference was tiny. I'm very excited for this one...Fred_Abstract wrote:the final version will be improved and closer,it sound very close already

Very impressive. I can still tell pretty easily that the first one is the real SH-101 and the second is the emulation, but it's getting really close.
