Hi everyone,

We've released another update for SynthMaster: v2.6.3

This update solves 2 major problems for folks who have been using SynthMaster inside Logic:

1. If a Logic project file was saved without the audio engine started (i.e. user doesn't press the Play button for instance), all SynthMaster instances were reverting to init patch settings

2. When the Play button was pressed, there was a CPU spike caused by the SynthMaster instances.

Please note that this problem could occur with other VST/AU hosts as well, if they dont start the audio engine until the user presses the play button.

Both issues have been FIXED now, so I urge all SynthMaster users to update to the latest version!

Also, this update fixes another longstanding issue: SynthMaster wasnt reading 8 bit WAV files correctly!

Our registered users can download the latest updates at:

Win32: http://www.synthmaster.com/downloadfile.aspx?fileId=46
Win64: http://www.synthmaster.com/downloadfile.aspx?fileId=49
MacOSX: http://www.synthmaster.com/downloadfile.aspx?fileId=53

Cheers,

Bulent

Do you really need to open a new thread for every update?
Open one 'Synthmaster Update' thread and bump it whenever there is something new...

I am confused about two things. firstly on the mac it says 2.6.4.2. (PC Version 32 bit says 2.6.3, but 64 bit says 2.6.4.2)

secondly on the PC I moved, per the manual instructions in the last update, my presets etc to my Documents folder KV331 Audio and edited the synthmasterfolder file.......so that both my 32 bit and 64 bit can see the same presets.....Today's update didn't re-add the presets to the 64 bit location, but it sure did for the 32 bit location.
what gives?

awesome. I haven't had any problems so I might wait till the next update unless you have some more Nori presets included. His string patches are the best I went through every patch in the browser under strings and his rated better than any other patch, to my ears anyway.

I was looking for a preset to do the strings a la Dream Theater off the Awake album and the patch I think it's called disco heaven comes fairly close. I was listening to caught in a web and that string sound they used is just awesome.

Thanks for the update!

My serial number no longer works to download an update. Sent you a tech support email.

I double checked the 64bit windows version - which was downloaded from our website-, it displays 2.6.3 on my system. As for the Mac version let me double check by 2.6.4.3 is OK :D, I'll remove that 4 in the middle to avoid confusion!

As for the data folder, make sure the update installs data on that folder.

yes please remove the .4, its confusing the dickens out of me.

let me recheck the 64 bit...

how do I ensure that the update installs data onto that folder....
It asks me where my vst's are located and I direct it to there. for both 32 bit and 64 bit (different locations).. what am I missing?
thanks

I think this version still has the 'reset to init patch setting' bug with freeze-unfreeze function of Logic.

If I save Logic project with Synthmaster instance frozen, when open the project later and unfreeze that track, the instance is reset to init patch setting.
I have tested with this update on Logic Pro 9.1.8.

Would you please check if this is a bug?

Thanks.

Just to be clear, as I am redownloading the full installers.
how do I ensure that for both 64 and 32 bit on PC
the vst's go in my desired location...(the steinberg vst folders) and the patches and data go in to my documents as I have set it in synthmasterfolder file?
thanks

edit:
I have given up on installing the presets in a separate location.

I re-downloaded the latest installer of version 2.6.3 (which the modified date of '.component' file in Zip file is 5/7/2013), installed, double-checked the version saying 2.6.4.3 and tried.

It's fixed. :)

Thanks.
