Hello everyone,
Just to let you know, Phobos update is now completed.
This update takes the original 3 layer system of Phobos and expands it with a much larger sample library, updated Filter/Res sequencer which can now store patterns as well as switch voice selection on and off within each sequence, the effects sections has also been updated and there is also a new graphical user interface by Anders Hedstrom aka Flavours of Lime.

- Over 150 presets included.
- From ambient spacey alien communications, distant drones, spacey choirs, haunting strings and pads, atmospherics, space organs, synth stabs, atmospheres.
This will work with kontakt 4.2.3 and higher including Kontakt 5(full version of Kontakt is required).

1.2GB using NI's compression, small memory foot print in Kontakt thanks to direct streaming from your hard drive.

If you don't own Phobos you can get this latest version for only £10 during intro period before the price goes back to £19.95.

UPDATE: I have now sent links to those who own the original Phobos- If you own the original Phobos and have not received your link then do please let me know and I will send another link(please check your spam folder in case it has landed in there).Sometimes links can go astray for some weird reason.

I have downloaded it. Will check out later today.

I'm a bit pressed for HD space at the moment. I guess this new version supercedes MKI in all departments so I can just deleted that and free up space for this new MK2 right?

Hi,
This new version does not load the old presets from version 1, so if you had any presets from version 1 that you want to keep then you will need to keep version 1.

Nice GUI (as per usual for Limeflavour's work!), but damn, you could've skinned that reverb dropdown menu as well. Sticks out like a sore thumb!

Amazing stuff!! More than an update, this is a whole new instrument!
It sounds really great!! For my needs it will be a very useful tool.

A LED readout or something could be a nice touch. The original Phobos did not have a selection of IR's for the convolution so this new improved reverb setup is much better than the original.

Thank you very much, glad you like it.
I wanted it to feel like a new instrument yet still retain lots of original Phobos. It was a lot of work, but I'm glad I updated it.

Had a couple of mails from people saying they have not received the update link I have sent. If you have not received your link then please do send me an email or pm and I will resend a link. Sometimes links can get swatted by the devilish machines that make up the internet.

I'm just going through all the links I have sent to see if they have been downloaded ok.

A user of Phobos mentioned on Gearslutz that it might be good to include the original Phobos alongside Phobos MKII.
I have now included the original Phobos version 1 in the download of Phobos MKII (so you get the original and the new version). I have also emailed the old version to everyone who bought Phobos MKII(If you have not received your link, please let me know). Thanks

This really means something! Very good and nice choice from Synth Magic!
I am currently designing a series of pads/scapes/noises patches with both versions, and they complement each other in a unique way.

What I'd love on the new GUI is to see the numeric values of the "coarse" and "fine tune" knobs, to speed up the process when working with music intervals.

I Will implement that OSC coarse/fine numerical value feature and send it out in an update.

Thanks - I am obsessed with space, probably because I had a schoolboy crush on Dr Helana Russel from Space 1999.
