I have heard enough beautiful and usable out of MachFive 3s granular option to consider buying the package on that alone. There is a lot of usable granular out there, there is a lot of experimental granular too...realmarco wrote: FINALLY something granular that doesnt sound like that academic mish-mash noise nobody uses for music making

Some of you have shown interest in the "filters" so here's a short demo showing how filtering is note-synced - basically the same spectral response across the keyboard. Also, no phase distortion from fast cutoff. This is because the 'filters' are FFTs, so linear phase. Also to note, just the mod wheel is being automated here.

Someone said they liked the distortion stuff. This is an attempt at a thrash guitar sound (ut theme anyone?)

100% pure. Also quite reasonable CPU usage with that preset, ~7% for 3 notes on my 2500k.

Any more infos? Release date, pricing?
Tentatively, late June or July. I'll talk about pricing after I get the website in order (couple weeks probably) and do a proper promotion. I wouldn't want to quote something before people know exactly what it is they're looking at. Should be competitive though.

I'm mainly Mac based now but I might have to get this anyway and play around with it on my old Windows laptop - I hope there won't be an additional charge for the Mac version when it comes out?

The distortion sounds sooooo organic.
However that thrash guitar is probably a bit over the top distorted IMHO. Did the amp go to 11?
