One-Synth-Challenge 51: Aalto - Voting and Results

I really enjoyed the percussions. The whole thing has a really nice retro sci-fi feel to it. Fab.

Ambitious but successful attempt to recreate the master's ambience.

Great electrethnic track.

As usual many more (actually most of them) entries would deserve points. Aalto even in its solo form is a very nice synth with an intuitive interface. It seems to work fine in Logic, no cpu or other issues. Thanks Madrona Labs.

Best title I've seen in an OSC. Ever. And a fun track to back it up.

The second half of this track was very moving to me...

Hi,

This time my voting depends more to the special sound of the synth Aalto than in other challenges. When I first heard Aalto I had no glue what to make with it. I tried to make something complete different, more to show the genuine sound of this synth. But I failed, didn't find anything I liked as a track and ended up with a more traditional track. But here are some tracks which are showing this special sound.

5 points: e@rs - I'm A Beast And I Need Love And I'm Drunk And You're So Funny
This track represents for my best the unique sound of Aalto. This is the track I would like to make in the beginning (see comment above).

4 points: Harthstein - Phoenix Rising
When I first herad this deep piano like string sound I knew it will be in my favorits. And the rest of the track is made very well too. Very melodic, good FX and excellent dynamic mix.

3 points: ah_dziz - lazy aalto
Very dark atmospheric track. It has a special mood. And it is also showing the Aalto style very well.

2 points: bjporter - Planet Adventure on Space Ship Aalto
Three points for the achievement that it sounds complete differnt to what you expect from Aalto. The sounds are fat, soft and warm. Aalto pure is the opposite!

I like the groove a lot. A very hypnotic basline. Best metallic FX in the competition.
