Allomerus wrote:Great dramatic start. The first faster section is interesting. I like the beat on the hihat. Keeps the pace going but with great changes to keep it interesting. The use of the long pads sounds really good. This includes the choir. Drama builds well at about 5:00. End section finishes it off expertly, as usual!
Thanks very much for listening and for the great comments, John. Glad you liked it :)

This was a track that I didn't really have a "vision" for whilst putting it together. I just went with the flow and this is what appeared. Hopefully the dynamic structure helped it to maintain momentum.

It was written almost 3 years ago and is quite rigidly structured. I'm trying to decide whether to leave it that way, or to add some variations. Maybe I'll decide that over a beer.

lol... not every track has to go 'boom boom boom boom'. the thing of 'waiting for it' (pumping kick) and never quite getting there is part of what makes this track unique. ...'chillout for trainspotters' indeed.

well done!

Pretty epic work. The mix is perfect indeed.
Final section is the best IMO :)

I decided very early on that this wasn't going to get the 4/4 kick treatment. It didn't really suit the track. Maybe if I had gone for a Psy/Goa vibe, I could have made it work, but that may come later. I have some irons in the fire, figuratively speaking

I like that final section. The original recording didn't have that, and was much less satisfying as a result.
