Well, bumb, bumb, bumb ! :D

If the installer only would let me update Oberheim SEM (Win VST2) on my system...
Hope to hear soon from Arturia support here...

Cheers Stephen !

You too? It seems this update won't run on Vista any more (at least the installer won't - have you tried manually extracting the dll?)

Well, on the Arturia forums somebody also reported the same issue on Win 7 - doesn't seem to be related to Vista only.
Also never had a problem with the actuall progs on Vista,
seems the installers are just of the dumb kind...sic, something has changed...

Yeah, tried to manually extract the files with Universal Extractor, but with no success.
I'll wait to see, if I get a response here on KVR on the Arturia forum,
otherwise I might try a little prog called sandboxie to extract the files.

Cheers,
Frank

Did you get anywhere?

No - but I'm not in a hurry.
Still no reply in the Arturia forum about it, but I guess I won't get an answer before next week.
Let's wait and see...

There was a misreading regarding OB 1.1.6 and Wurlitzer 1.0.5, This product does not support win XP, win Vista et 10.5.
So if you are running these OS, please use the versions below:
Ob SEM V:
==> http://www.arturia.com/downloads/obsemv ... _1.1.5.dmg
==> http://www.arturia.com/downloads/obsemv ... _1_1_3.exe

Wurlitzer:
==> http://www.arturia.com/downloads/wurlit ... _1_0_3.exe
==> http://www.arturia.com/downloads/wurlit ... _1_0_3.dmg

The information is now updated on the website:
==> http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/dow ... dates.html

Sorry for the confusion.

Hi David

sorry but that's not very helpful as it basically means that no-one running these systems can now open my patches because of the preset incompatibility you introduced by releasing 2 different versions of the SEM (1.1.5 for Mac and 1.1.3 for Win). That in itself was stupid, but then to decide you are going to make all versions compatible again but in the same release also change the system requirements is even more stupid. Basic rule of thumb here - don't do bugfixes at the same time as changing the system requirements because it means some of the people that would benefit from the bugfixes cannot access them. I would have thought that was common sense.

Gee, I am so happy I did not buy SEM or anything else from that ridiculous company after all :P Thanks intuition! :hihi:
When you are a paying customer, having to wait days or weeks for a support reply is just utterly unacceptable. They should be severely punished for their disrespect of the customer.

Sorry about your presets, though :?

Would be nice to hear back from Arturia re what they can do for Vista users

Post

This drop of version and bug fix in the same time is exceptional, so we will probably get out a new version out for 10.5,Win XP, and Vista users.

I keep you in touch to know when it will be done.

Thanks - glad you have listened to reason :)
