Hi, I've been trying out BlueARP in Reaper with VST instruments and a controller keyboard with knobs that send CC data. I have programmed the VSTi to react to the turning of the knobs. I have found that BlueARP will prevent the CC data getting to the VSTi. Is there any way to make BlueARP pass the CC data through?

Thanks.

One feature request for some later date might be a drop down menu for internal presets, since that will make it easier to find what you want than just scolling.
Drop down menu is on the way, almost ready.

Looks weird. Does it happen with other plugins as well?
No, no other plug-ins do this as far as I can remember, but I see now it's a problem with Reaper not reloading the BlueARP banks.

If I save and reload a BlueARP bank preset as an individual .fxp, then save the project, Reaper will recall the project with the correct BlueARP settings.

If I just call up a preset from the BlueARP bank, and then save the project without reloading the BlueARP preset as an individual .fxp, Reaper will not recall the preset or the bank, and will just load init when I reopen the saved project.

I'm so confused. Is no one concerned that this plugin filters out CC data? I've looked through this entire thread and it's not been mentioned. I was sure I must have been doing something wrong, but I've tested it with a couple of DAW's and older versions of BlueArp but the problem persists. I also tried a couple of other arpeggiators like Kirnu, ARPG8R, ARP!0 and SimpArp; and they all pass through CC data fine.

It's so weird. Is it just me? Does no one use CC knobs? Am I missing something?

It driving me mad because BlueArp is so good otherwise. Thanks

I must have demoed almost every Arp available this weekend how did I miss this Gem 8)

Hi All. Not so easy to get yourself to programming during summertime ;)
I was fighting with program change issue I mentioned before. It's better now, like with other plugins. FL Studio VST wrapper itself has a bug imho. When you switch programs with internal patch browser, VST plugin tells the host that program has changed, but FL Studio "doesn't listen". Renoise listens. The same happens with Sylenth1 or Dune.

But now even if you change BlueARP preset from internal patch browser, it stays there after project save-load. I'll post the update this weekend. If no more major bugs are there, it will be the 1st stable release.
Then I'll do experiments with chord recognition.

Hi. Yes, the plugin itself passes through only notes, pitchbend and aftertouch. Everything else should be filtered out since you may want to use CC's to automate BlueARP itself. But I have no problems with that.
I'm using FL and when I want to automate say synth cutoff - can do it, and it works regardless of what track (synth) is currently active.

No big problem though to make it pass all CC data through. Are you sure Kirnu passes it? My only concern - whether it is correct behaviour for MIDI arp?

Hi, currently I have two ideas in mind:
1. Pattern chains. Say I have programs 1,2,3 and I want to play them in a sequence 1-1-1-2-1-1-1-3. Next thing - this chains can be switched real-time and automated to any CC. Say I have 2 chains - the one before and 4-4-4-3. And I wanna switch them during my performance.
2. Chord recognition. An ambitious task, but I will try to make it. Later, after stable release.

Possible addition to p.1 - the ability to send program change mesages to the synth when you switch chains.

Update - BlueARP v1.11rc9
http://www.graywolf2004.net/files/BlueARP_v1.11rc9.zip

Changes:
1. Fixed program change bug. Now it should remember selected program when you save-load project
2. Passes all controller midi data thru (CC's, pitchbend, aftertouch messages)

BlueARP is awesome!

One issue I have is with the "Input range (truncate)" in the "Input Filter" section. If I set the range from C0 to C5, any notes above C5 are ignored.

I know this is working as designed. However, could there be an option where MIDI notes outside the range are passed through? This would allow for arpeggios in the left hand and solos in the right hand using the same synth/track. Maybe a check box to toggle truncate/pass through? Or perhaps an .ini setting?

Many thanks for a wonderful arp!

Here's another youtube demo for BlueARP, factory bank presets only

FL Studio 10 project included!

Not sure it will work for you, so try and let me know.
Except BlueARP, you need to install T-Force Alpha Plus (freeware)

At 4:45 there are some 'acid' patterns with glides between notes.

Oleg, is there any Wisywyg software to create alternative skins ?
I have tried using a screen cpature software + NotePad++ to edit the init file, but i don't really know what i am changing and it doesn't work...
Are you aware of some software allowing to change the colorscheme "on the fly" ?
(Or would you mind making a screenshot of the GUI, with arrows pointing to each themeable parts, with a legend ?)

This is the theme i was trying to achieve :

What is exactly meant by - All major controls are assigned to the Dashboard (open "Dashboard" track). -

Do I have to open or create a Dashboard channel ?

There's a pattern track called "Dashboard" (it's not on my Youtube video, I added it after). Open it, there are controls like Cutoff, Reverb and Delay. Tweak then with a mouse while it plays or automate them. But also you can open the track "Alpha Seq" - T-Force Aplha synth - and automate \ switch controls there.

Nothing of this kind. But I can take your screenshot and pick up colors from there.
