So im trying to send midi messages to my ipad from my daw. Is this possible? I have no problems getting the midi from my ipad to my daw (studio 1) to control synths and what not, but im trying to get it to send midi back to the ipad to control Turnado parameters. Currently i can get any of the main controlls/xy pads to trigger different parameters, but not the other way around.
Im running it over adhoc, no CCK. Im sure this would be a lot easier when the iconnect midi comes out (seriously, its been forever!), but i just wanted to see if its possible for now without any external devices.
MIDI to Turnado?

It works using wifi(adhoc or not), make sure that you enable networksession1 in sources.

While we on on this topic of turnado, can this app be used to put effects on other iPad apps? In other words can I route the effects from this app to say, nanostudio or beat maker for vinyl stops, filters, etc?

Yes, if an app shows as input in Audiobus it sends the audio to Turnado when used as effect.
See the list here : http://audiob.us/apps/
It can also be used in Jack Audio, but there aren't too many apps yet.
Then if your app can't work as input you can use Turnado standalone, recording first your audio, using audio copy/paste, and play/record within Turnado and export again. A bit old fashioned but it works.

We have certainly come along way with the Ipad. i think with the next release of Ipad, and more CPU power, and more companies making synths, it's gonna be time to say bye-bye to laptop for good very soon(i hope)
