I've tried setting up 2 pulse waves and use the filter envelope to modulate oscillator two's pitch but it isn't giving me the classic hard sync sound found on the Virus.
There isn't a hard Sync switch on Spire either.

Any tips for setting it up correctly?

You have to use the AMSync mode and one of the knobs then becomes the syncing frequency. You're not getting pure sync but instead a mix of sync and amplitude modulation which smooths out a lot of the rough edges. But then a lot of the time it's the rough edges that you WANT out of your sync sounds, so it seems a shame they didn't include a simple sync mode.

Will have a play around and experiment with it a bit later.
I suppose Reveal are being swamped with user suggestions right now.

Hoping optimization on the code takes priority over everything though because unless that is sorted a lot of users will give Spire a wide birth.
Anything after that is a bonus.

I think it sounds pretty close to all my other synth's hard sync.

Sure, we've received many suggestions and some bugs

, and now working on next revision which will include Logic fixes, some new GUI elements and new sounds.
