Very, very, very nice demos. Great looking skin and a really amazing sounding synth. I just don't think I need yet another analog synth with all the tons of them I own, but I wish you guys all the best - Spire sounds truly like a beast and it WILL do very well.

Sounds great. Hope, the Arpeggiator and Sequence Section will come soon.
Think there are still some bugs concerning AU Plugin Version on Mac (VST-don't know- only use AU):
1). Using Logic: when bouncing the Spire Track in Logic, there is much additional noise in the bounced track. It will happen too, if I route Spire Track to another and try to record the output. This only happens with Spire, not with other Soft-Synthesizers, so it must be a plugin-specific problem.
2). When using Spire in Tracktion 4, it is scanned as plugin, but there will be nor name shown, neither developer name, number of outputs etc. , simply a blank line. I can load it into Tracktion and use it, but in the plugin list it is simply "invisible". I think the AUi Version of Spire must be provided with Information for the hosts (developer, category, etc.).
Please debug. I love the sound of Spire.
regards

I have two things
Spire has no sound in my host Vaz 2010, it get's midi but no sound.
And it does not respond on sustain pedal. (inside Studio One)

Hi vega555,
I like the presets of the "Oxygene" demo song very much.
Will that presets be included in the fullversion of Spire?
I am not interested in dance/techno sounds. So my question:
Do you have plans for more classic synth sounds ( Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Kitaro, Klaus Schulze....)
How long can I buy Spire for the reduced price?

Here's an example of oscillator hard-sync from a real analog synth. Note how 'dirty' it is. Dirty ahhh...dirty is good.
First the slave osc on its own then the master osc is added alter on (you can hear the square wave faded in).

I thought my Ensoniq SQ80 was hit by digitalis (and it is), but even an analog sync sound is "ugly"himalaya wrote:Here's an example of oscillator hard-sync from a real analog synth. Note how 'dirty' it is. Dirty ahhh...dirty is good.

Wow, this is really a very nice sounding beast...
Before a little critiscm: No chance to get the x86 demo working here on my system ... absolutely no chance, where the x64 works flawless...
But here a very big respect: I've never heard such a convincing replication of Darudes Sandstorm lead sound like the combi out of your LD Tech Lead and LD Rude... absolutely amazing... up to now, no one could hint me a convincing replication, but now there is Spire... Thx very much
Edit: Here a little proove... with some finetuning, I think you can get very very close to the original sound... This is right out of the box:

Playing around with this thing. Two vst instanses on my macbook dual core i7 @ 2.8Ghz puts my cpu usage on >50% and sometimes gives me pops/clicks

Well, different synths handle sync differently, some apply a windowing function to smooth out the jumps in the waveform, some don't. Some give you both options - for example Cyclop. AMsync in this case is a windowed sync so instead of the new cycles of waveform scrolling/squeezing to the left out of nowhere, the whole wave is squashed into a cone shape along it's length, rendering the most inharmonic parts of the waveform silent. It depends what you want to use sync for - smooth gliding or rough grindingolepro wrote:I think it sounds pretty close to all my other synth's hard sync.Sendy wrote:You have to use the AMSync mode and one of the knobs then becomes the syncing frequency. You're not getting pure sync but instead a mix of sync and amplitude modulation which smooths out a lot of the rough edges. But then a lot of the time it's the rough edges that you WANT out of your sync sounds, so it seems a shame they didn't include a simple sync mode.aquar wrote:Really?olepro wrote:Spire allready has hard syncserhiy06 wrote:Please, add more wavetables, hard sync and, LFO phase offset like Virus has.
I've tried setting up 2 pulse waves and use the filter envelope to modulate oscillator two's pitch but it isn't giving me the classic hard sync sound found on the Virus.
There isn't a hard Sync switch on Spire either.
Any tips for setting it up correctly?
Here's a little sync example and 3 other patches i did

And yes, analog sync is suprisingly dirty and gritty, even more so than I was expecting! At least, it is on the Analog Four. It can get downright glitchy if you mess with it.
