The Matisyahu kick seems layered, like an 808 or 909 style kick with a clicky beginning part.
Richello, and the same for this one really. It seemed like the kicks were pitched up a bit for the 2nd half of the loop, to sort of match the main melody or chord changes. That might have just been an audio illusion though.
The only other thing I noticed is that the bassline is set lower in the mix than the kicks, so the kicks can stand out more and really drive the basic dance beats of the tracks. Surely some e.q. was used as well to fit the kick/bass together better.
