This one didn't work for me in Reaper--some message about CPUs and waterfalls. I'm pretty sure my machine has a CPU, but I haven't spotted any waterfalls in it.

Worked for me in Reaper. Ignored the waterfall message and loaded an impulse file. No problem at all.

Hi mztk. The juno-106 emulation synth is great. I like playing my guitar via jam origin's midi guitar software through it. Will there be any more development on the dc06 and where can we find more presets for it?

Anyone have a copy of Oli Larkin's version 2.3 Dronebox?

I have the 1.0 version. Something I downloaded years ago, thought was cool but never found a use for it until now.

Description here but the download links are dead

[link removed]

There seem to be some other sites, but they look like sites where cracked versions live, and I'm afraid of what diseases I'd catch going there.

Thanks!

You're complaining about cracked versions, yet you link to THAT? Might wanna remove your links there.

huh.

MoreSitesLike.net says it is similar to Rekkerd and SoundonSound. Reputable news sites. And PSPAudioware and Steinberg...

But it is the first time I came across it...I merely checked it on moresiteslike before I clicked...don't know the site but it looked like a news site for the 30 seconds I looked at it.

Maybe they've changed now, but in the past, they were a huge warez site. I'm still not going to look at it, though.

They still are as far as I can see. Please remove this link Quietinthedark.

And Drone Box 2.3 was never a freebie anyway, so why asking for it?

I got it to work one time...my problem is that the "Get Impulse" button doesn't respond 99% of the time, even after clicking it dozens of times. I was wondering if it was a UI problem, but stripping the UI doesn't seem to provide any way to open an impulse file. This is an old plugin and I'm wondering if more modern dual-core or quad-core processors are screwing it up, given the error message about the CPU.

From the old Revolverb webpage:
Limitations:

IMPORTANT: AMD processors are NOT supported by this BETA.

IMPORTANT: Only 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 samples audio card latencies are supported by this BETA, 384 and 768 samples latencies are NOT supported.
Runs fine here on an AMD64 single core apart from getting the waterfall/CPU error message.

Dll file from May 10th, so this is pretty new Harmonaut by Tonebytes
Harmonaut / Free / Ad-Supported

Harmonaut - is a simple VST instrument that implements an additive synthesis with four waveform types and 32 harmonics that can be simple drawn with the mouse. In the same way can be adjusted the attack, decay, sustain and release for each harmonic. Additional timbre adjustments are made using LP/HP filter, LFO and chorus.

I recommend using Uniextract for anyone that tries the above plugin or anything by Tonebytes, they use an installer that does toolbars or whatever and people have said it's basically malware.

Not their fault, but not really a good choice.

Harmonaut isn't bad, all of their stuff is good but then they slap in a cheap LP filter or FX and usually end up halfway-good.

ah thanks harryupbabble - :D - well, in fact, this SIM-3x (or whatever it
ends up being called, suggestions welcome btw) is the follow-on, i guess:
it has only ramp and pulse type waveforms, and sort-of
follows Roland's philosophy with synths of that era, with little extensions
here and there, like the link/indiv controls and the randomizer.
in fact, i'll up a more relevant recent version in a minute, since it
actually has some presets and does a better job of demonstrating what it
can do.

meanwhile, just heard that this one is now free:

modular synth plugin, synthedit, featuring natty patch cable modules

ok: only 6 people have downloaded this since i stuck a
link somewhere. probably because it wasn't 'a release',
and is not finished: the GUI isn't repositioned in places,
and the logo(...) is wrong size. but it does work, if a
little high on cpu at the time; i recall there was a bug:
not really a bug, just two consecutive presets that don't
like each other, so can result in stopping audio. i didn't
fix this bcs i started work on the larger GUI(which has
turned out to be a real wrong turn: just spent this week
rebuilding a better GUI from scratch)

so here is SIM-3x v.0.212:
https://www.box.com/s/12d7a5e7bdc478c9102e
and here is the previous v.0.157:
https://www.box.com/s/ne0atfaq5ixj6h80yq5g
but the most finished looking version -lacking
some later features - was maybe v.0.133:
https://www.box.com/s/eqzb68o54aa287lfz0pp

and, for the sake of completeness, here's the
original rough draft where i started off,v.0001 alpha :)
https://www.box.com/s/eq1ch69mialmch7krcfo

hehe, made a very credible 909 plugin the other morning,
still at rough-est stage. uses samples - the CR909 set,
issued by an audiodamage bod, (so i can't use these, unless?
he says ok, or i have some editing options available to me),
but it will have to be a collection of my favourites drumbox
hits - or the best i can steal from all over the web. alterna-
tively, could make it load user samples.

What about v0.295, how does it fit in there?
