I must concur with everyone who has said this was a DIFFICULT round to vote; there are some GREAT tracks here and I will have them in my daily play rotation.

My votes came down to nit-picky details. I haven't spent this much time listening and re-listening in any prior vote.

5 points: Jasinski, Lifted Higher Still - As always, Aaron pays close attention to the things that matter. The track develops beautifully, great use of dynamics, feature sounds aren't distracting, and harmonic structure is gorgeous. And the track is warm, warm, warm. It reminds me of the Drive soundtrack, and NOT the Kavinsky bits. I want to see the film this goes to.

4 points: e@rs, I'm a Beast - Some great sounds really grabbed my attention in this track, and the use of modulation was GREAT, especially across the soundstage. This track sounds like it came from Richard Devine and Skrillex's love-child.

3 points: z.prime, Leeches - It's hard to fault a good mix, and this is a very good one. I am hard on 4-on-the-floor tracks, but the excellent use of sidechain here makes the track pulse along.

2 point: Marks-a-whybikky, Illusion of the Synchronous.... - I love modular bug music, and this one really won me over. Some great vinyl sounds, and nothing every pops out as "too much." It keeps swirling and moving.

1 point: Gamma-ut, Tango Around Alvar - Some great sound design in here, and I'm a sucker for an ethnic track.

Lots of honorables, most notably Photonic (great drums, very 80s....and I am definitely a child of the 80s), Yeager (so much variation, really grabs you with the transition from the intro), bh9090 (great use of melody in the first section of 1, and the dissonance later really freaks you out)

Big congratulations to bjporter, a very well deserved win!

And congratulations to kimik (is this your second participation? very good result!) and Ah dziz (afaik you took part to the very early OSCs, welcome back).

I'd like also to thank you for the votes and HMs, though my track was really unfinished :tu:

Thanks guys. The late encouragement helped... especially when waiting for the project to load and hope the sound worked that time.

Commander to spaceship Alto: "GET DOWN AND SHAKE IT HARD MEN... we're now out of the atmosphere, and off of warp speed."

The purpose of their planet visit will be revealed in my next OSC tune.

I'm seriously shocked at the quality of this synth and what people could do.

Anyone else find this more than a synth... almost like acoustic...
