Neo Reference is a brand new tool for the final processing of digital music. It combines several of Sound Magic's cutting edge dithering and noise shaping algorithms. These algorithms will change the sound of your music and they will let you find the best timbre for your individual style. Each dither and noise shape has its own unique timbre. What you need to do is listen to them carefully and you find the one that works best for your sound.
Changes since Version 1.1
Parametrics changes for iOS and Andriod Phones.
Improved Noise Level Simulation.

I understand this is a dithering tool and a tool that simulates different listening environments. The combination is a bit weird tbh, but so be it.
But shouldn't dithering and noise shaping be as unnoticeable as possible? We are talking about dithering to reduce truncation artifacts, right? Advertising that it "changes the sound of your music" is a bit counter-intuitive to say the least. But then again, nonsensical marketing-babble is what I remember Sound Magic for, so I suppose it fits.

It is part of a dithering tool which could let you try different dithering methods.TheoM wrote:I'm confused.. This is a specialist dithering tool?
Another part of it is like
You made a piece of music and it sounds good in your studio monitor.
Then through Neo Reference, you can hear how it sounds
1. In your cars
2. On someone's iphone or some other cheap Android phones

No plans for mac yet. We are considering to merge it into another new product, which will be MAC. Neo Reference is rather a new concept, and we are continue seeking the possiblity to improve it and make it more popular on the market.TheoM wrote:ahh gotcha. Like a listening reference tool. Anyone used it so far? any results/opinions? this might be good for me cause i am often on my laptop.. any plans for mac?
