Xils are still on the iLok1 aren't they? Probably the cheapest way is to pick one up from someone who has had to get an iLok2 and can just post their old one to you locally.
Does this work with iLok2 as well? If I'm going to get a dongle, I might as well get one that will work with the majority of other products. I assume the iLok2 is backwards compatible?

Thanks for your interest into the V+

The Ilok2 will give you access to a wider choice of plugins, as some plugs only work with the Ilok2. It can also store more licences ( 200 iirc )

All Xils-lab instruments protected by a dongle work with Ilok, Ilok2, and Elicencer.

Given that the hardware IS analogue, it seems anyone who thinks a digital plugin sounds 'more analog' has hearing problems, as its physically impossible.

People who played with us said that by voting. With a strict binomial law repartition ( People guessing at random ), results would have been a bit more balanced. If we take the original machine as reference of the analog sound, people voting did favor a bit the V+. In other words, the V+ was perceived by gamers as a little more "vintage sounding" than the original. Another possible conclusion is that most people find both units were sounding almost identical, and thus analog, as at least one is definitely a true analog machine. You can draw your own conclusions if you wish, everything to analyse the vote can be found on the contest page, with more than 250 voters.
