Sonic Station users! Got some good news. Next UFO update should have the Kontakt patches with effects and some cool synth patches added. ETA is a week or so. We'll let you know when it is up.

SampleTank output is working apart from the known "LYR" problem which is that some programs output LYR patches when they're not supposed to. (LYR programs are supposed to only be for patches that are meant to be layered together but they can be activated accidentally by variance in the velocity cross-switch settings... this is being worked on). Hopefully the next UFO build will have the LYR fix for ST output.

Also coming will be some kind of special synth presets (perhaps combis) for Sonic Station inside SampleTank 2. Stay tuned....

For those that don't know Sonic Station, you can read more about it from the exclusive source for that product here www.esoundz.com

Coo... :)

Can't wait.

I actually ordered Sonic Station on the 25th of last year...

Post

Heh heh - I think I got mine about a year ago now!! :)

I bought Kontakt on the strength of it too....all this before i went travelling for 6 months. I'm now back in the rat race and finally got my music setup back up and running with some space to set it up. Then I thought - it's been nearly a year that I got Sonic Station and I've been out of touch with the latest KvR goings-on....Must be some wet Kontakt patches out by now!! Ho hum - I bought the product knowing it would slowly evolve...didn't realise how slow!! :D

Anyway, I know most of you are probably at NAMM at the moment, but any ETA on these? Wet patches would rule, but to be honest I'm really interested in some patches that exploit Kontakt's amazing features - one reason being i might actually work out how to make some for myself!!

Anyway - I'm off to esoundz to see what I've missed!

Well, it does come with over 1,200 sounds in the first place let's not forget. But, there is WET and there is some synth programming. We're doing a bit of both and it is going to be ready in not too long. Probably before the end of next month.

Excellent news ... Sonic Station and Kontakt make a deadly pair :). If the LYR problem is fixed so with Sonic Station and ST2 :)

Once SS2 is out, I'll feel like a keyboard player with 4 a rack of sample-based synths :)

Squids,

Any news on the release of Sonic Station wet patches? I talked to Dan in Feb. and he said soon.

Thanks,
SteveW :)

Yesssssssssss Thanks Dave!

Not only just "wet" patches but also a bank of creative patch programming from Kurzweil guru programmer Larry Hopkins is in the works as well. So, believe me this product is still very important to us. It will evolve.

Any ETA on this yet?

Thanks! :hail:

'm looking forward to this Sonic Station in ST2 even with LYRs is pretty damn amazing. What about wet patches for ST2?

Post

Sonic Station is one of those on going projects. There are some things in the works. We have a great programmer who used to work for Kurzweil doing some awesome new patches for the EXS and Kontakt side. We'll do ST2 presets for it but that is going to come later. Kontakt WET patches (a batch of the whole thing with just some verb and perhaps delay/chorus) just so it is less dry is also coming.

There's also an update to the UFO that is dedicated to each title... the actual release version if you can believe that! But, it's cool and there are some really good things cooking for Sonic Station. Wait until you see what happens to it when all of the main capsules are released! :o

Out of curiosity, if I download the latest UFO from esoundz will it have an nki for the piano bonus? I'd like to use that...

So, it's a bit more than a week. Is it up yet?

*bump*

When one thing gets delayed it sets off other things. It is being worked on at the same time by another programmer but I have to see where he is at. We're scrambling to get Sonik Capsules out and Sonik Synth FREE first though. That means it could be some time next month where we will be able to add more Sonic Station free patches but we're doing it. There are a couple of things I want to do there but some of that depends on developing the UFO a bit more.

Thanks for the update. :)
