Yes, there are a bunch of Expansion Packs for DimPro and Rapture for $19.99. Rapture is also $19.99.

There are three Expansion Packs for DimPro http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/read ... 2007013208

For those that are interested, the Platinum Samples Expansion Packs for Session Drummer 3 also come with Windows installers for DimPro. These are not the same as the Expansion Packs for BSD and Superior Drummer. They are much smaller.

But ain't that pack like a demo showcase for DSF?:
30 new bass programs by Digital Sound Factory
New programs expand the factory sound set with new Acoustic, Fingered, Fretless, Hybrid, Multi, Pop, Slap, and Upright Bass sounds
Pack 1 and 2 contains 700 new patches all in all, so pack 3 isn't really in that league.

Give us a real pack 3

Just how long have those freebie packs been around? Is that something new (or reasonably new)?

Did I miss an email somewhere announcing these?

+1 That is why some new free expansions pack would be nice ;-)

Post

just an fyi if you were wanting to use these in another host, e.g. alchemy. Cakewalk has compressed the whole library in FLAC, which I dont think alchemy and probably alot of other sfz players can play

I would take it more as a sign there not going to get any more freebies instead of a rationale for expecting more but yes, it would be nice.

Yeah, wow, almost like giving it away :?

Hope they also can add some more free expansions for previous customers that paid top dollar for the plugin
Silly me. I bought it 2 days ago. $99.00 :(

Well, timing is everything. Contact Cakewalk, they might be able to do something like comp an expansion pack or 2.

Where can I listen to demos of Dimension Pro? I am interested in the strings.
Do I have to download the Sonar X2 Trial? I can't find any demos on the website.

Do the strings sound better than the strings of Komplete Elements?
