i5-3570k. Think it's the top i5 model still, but I didn't check for CPUs recently.

The Korg Legacy Mono-Poly is fantastic and incredibly light on CPU. Also, $50.

Rapture, which Cakewalk has on sale now for $19.99, fits all of these requirements. It's a very nice contrast to Sylenth1.

I'd snag the rapture and dim pro while they are on sale and then snag synthmaster then go after the korg legacy. I have the cake and synthmaster vsti's and they are top notch and have a nice feel. Then of course I think eneryone would agree that NI komplete is worth getting and I would suggest minimonsta by GForce just to have the historical value of its thousands of presets many from the Wakeman himself. Now after you do this I'd then snag OPX player and for distorted deep purple style organs VB3. Rapture and synthmaster can both use the galbanum waves.

I would say +1 for Dimension, I have the LE version (so it's just a rompler in my case) and I think you can get a lot of sounds with virtually no weight on cpu.
Also Sampletank could be interesting, although it is a rompler (by the way, check out the free version)... Look for a sampler/rompler and some libraries, it can be very easy on cpu, possibly cheap (depends on the libraries) and then you can have fun layering things...

wusikstation is cheap(I got mine for 9.99) if there's a sale you can get V6 might be able to get it in the marketplace here too. check out hgfortune's sounds for wusikstation even his free set is pretty awesome http://www.hgf-synthesizer.com/wusiksta ... 64bit.html

Yeah, man...I'm really liking these synths. I haven't downloaded anything yet to test sound quality and all that but they all seem pretty damn good from the videos/samples.

I'm gonna check out everything that has been posted here but I may have already found what I'm looking for in the HGFortune synths.

Recommend me a new synth plugin, please!
