check out Nord Rack 2 and Minimoog V Arturia.
Low on CPU, great sounds. should be pretty cheap.

"Primarily pads - DUNE BE" - couldnt disagree more, for me DUNE is EVERYTHING and it features at least 5 instances in every project of mine. I use it for leads, keys, plucks and pads.

I was thinking the same thing. Yessongs, you should be able to create any sound with the addition of just a couple of those--Diva and Alchemy for instance.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:hopefully you come to your senses before wasting all that money on stuff that will give you overlap upon overlap after overlapyessongs wrote: ...
What was the point of posting that entire wish list anyway? Only Korg and Zebra (and maybe a few others) would be useful suggestions to OP.
Not trying to give you a hard time. I'm just a little confused.

I never succeeded in taming it but it has a sound of its own.

Camel Audio Alchemy would be my choice to complement sylenth.kvruzer666 wrote:
What I'm looking for:
#1. CPU-friendly
This is most important. My current CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 x2 @2.6Ghz, I believe. A synth plugin that's light on the CPU is a must for me.
#2. Sound quality
I assume most synth plugins sound good, but I'd really love to use one that sounds GREAT.
#3. Different than Sylenth1
By "different" I mean I want a synth that can make sounds that Sylenth can't. I don't need 2 synths that specialize in the same sounds, right? I'd really love something that can make trippy sounds, great pads, atmospheric stuff, etc..
Thanks in advance!

This is interesting. I have tried dune at least twice and thought it sounded fizzy and light. Great if your after that sound.chk071 wrote:Yep, one of the few which sounds good for everything.ferez21 wrote:"Primarily pads - DUNE BE" - couldnt disagree more, for me DUNE is EVERYTHING and it features at least 5 instances in every project of mine. It is only a guess, but did you try to put a constant value to the oscillators phase? It can sound pretty weedy with free running oscillators, as every synth of course, but the Dune oscillators are set to free running by default. Tbh it took me a while to figure that out...faun2500 wrote: This is interesting. I have tried dune at least twice and thought it sounded fizzy and light.

If I where you, I'd get Cakewalk Rapture to complement Sylenth. It's only $20 at the moment, very low cpu consumption and can sound very different from Sylenth

No I was just listening to the presets. It was the supersaw type sounds I was listening for but I personally found them very bright and brittle and didn't like the sound of the filter. A lot of people seem to like dune though.chk071 wrote:It is only a guess, but did you try to put a constant value to the oscillators phase?
