And thanks a lot for your kind comments about the XILS V+.
@Sequent : I forwarded your comment to Yannick !!
@el-folie : you're right about the voices. There is a difference for the first not you are playing. There are still room for enhancement !
About the vocoder tutorials, we need a little more time, bug fixes was our priority.

I explained the global discount rules, then did not read your answer. People sleep, at times, mind you. So silence is confirmation that people do sleep. End of.ChiTown24 wrote:there's something inherently dishonest about refusing to confirm a simple fact, while preferring instead to let someone like Ingonator confuse the issue. Which Lotuzia has done at least twice now {refusing to confirm a fact that could stop a line of discussion right in it's tracks.} in this thread across different by-topics.
but OK, the silence is confirmation enough, that there has only been ONE coupon issued {a few months/products ago} universally. That can be used ONCE. No further coupons have been issued in any official sense - to everyone who has already used that first coupon, though who can say what kind of discretionary coupons have been issued in private that perhaps, for some reason, Lotuzia might not like to talk about ?
So, going back to my original point that Ingonator simply confused with his unofficial, speculative input... there is only a once-off coupon that is in no way similar to the Fabfilter tiered loyalty discounts. You use it once, and that is it. At least officially. This is a query raised by Kevlyn {sp?}, we can put it to bed now if you like. Sure would have been put to bed quicker & simply if Lotuzia wasn't so...flexible, or in this case intentionally mute, with the facts.
Then please stop putting words in my mouth, and thoughts and intentions in my mind I never had. I've stayed very civil in my answers to you, and accusing me of *inherent* dishonesty will lead you nowhere, except that if you dont stop that attitude at once of seeing "hidden thoughts", "plots" and everything behind every common word I write, I will deprive me of the pleasure of reading and answering to you.

Hmmm I did not have to wait for too long ....ChiTown24 wrote:"_ When the voucher is used, the Total amount spent is reinitialized. "
Thanks Xavier. That wasn't so hard now, was it ?
"Maybe we should put these rules somewhere on our site. "
Yep, or maybe Lotuzia could brush up on them so that he's better able to confirm/deny simple queries. He should probably do that anyways, considering it's his job ?
My last answer to you : Wrong again. It's not my job. You dont know what my job(s) are, so its useless to speculate on this. Helping Xils with the V+ is done on my free time, and pro bono. End of.
Adios, amigo.

Thanks SequentSequent wrote:Just wanted to mention the actual instrument really quickly...
VERY impressive indeed. I've heard other string ensemble type vst's (not counting for a moment anything that's sample-based) and while some of those are also very good (thinking of one in particular) what Xils has done that the others haven't (imo), is truly captured the warmth and analog nature of the original. While the other ones almost tend towards sounding too "precise" what Xavier has done is captured the really organic quality of these machines. This one feels like it's 'alive' for lack of a better word. Very, very nice!!!
Congratulations also to Yannick on the excellent gui work. He's really outdone himself on this one. You guys should really be proud of this one!![]()

In terms of suggestions... with all the faders, I kind of wish I could just use my mouse wheel to adjust them when I float over a particular fader. Unless that functionality is already there and I'm just doing something wrong?
But overall, I like this instrument a LOT!
And yes I too find the GUI gorgeous. I like both modern and vintage GUIs. And this one reminds me so much of my own VP, maybe that's why I really like it so much.

Same here. I tried to be helpful and to deliver tons of informations during this thread (including lot of audio demos where ChiTown24's answer was just a short "meh..."). Of course i make failures too like everyone.Lotuzia wrote: Then please stop putting words in my mouth, and thoughts and intentions in my mind I never had. Opposing to ChiTown24 i also tried to avoid personal attacks while he called other users "trolls" (a few pages back...).
FWIW i had tried to contact him by PM around 3 times but the PMs did not even leave the Out box (even after some days) for an unknown reason.
I just hope now that Xavier answered to his question he will check the demo version (which he asked for multiple times in this thread) and talk about the synth finally which personally is my main interest if i dare to mention this...

if a person doesnt read them, they are marked as still being in Outbox. When they are read, they are marked in Sentbox. (i think thats how it works, might be wrong)Ingonator wrote:

Again, this is more 'flexibility' with the facts.Lotuzia wrote: I explained the global discount rules, then did not read your answer. People sleep, at times, mind you. So silence is confirmation that people do sleep. End of.
In the previous page, you replied to me. Quoted my text. And this was your reply;;
Of course, you were still active after making that post. And replying to others who simply added confusion to the topic, despite the fact what I was saying was closest to the truth.----------__________
I'd call that being intentionally mute. Not being asleep.
And btw, JOB does not strictly imply 'for payment' in all uses of the word. It can be your job to do something, pro bono. Are you now denying that it is your official role to act as a xils-lab representative here on the forum ? Or is it just semantic one-upmanship that interests you ? Genuinely curious, because if it's not your official role I won't waste my time pointing my public xils-lab queries in your direction in the future.

You tried to be helpful, I asked you not to try and offer me your particular brand of help. I explained why: you offer speculative info, based on a background no more technical than myself, in a tone that makes it seem official and in line with xils-lab thoughts & beliefs. This has lead to you 'correcting' people {myself included} on more than one occasion for 'confusing' what you say with what is official.
Simples.
Didn't get your PMS, not too upset about that either.
THanks!

This and several of your replies show you are not really interested in my opinions. I'll try to avoid answering your questions in the future then. Just don't complain about me ignoring you then...ChiTown24 wrote: Didn't get your PMS, not too upset about that either.
Have a nice day.
I could be wrong but if the PMs are not tin the "Sentbox" the user should not be able to read them. If they are in the Outbox i could still edit or delete them which in this cases i have done after several days.Kriminal wrote:if a person doesnt read them, they are marked as still being in Outbox. LIVE 8 Ok with the V+ : Here's a testimony from an user in the Xils forum :
"Hi, V+ is working fine in Ableton Live 8. No bugs or anything else. This is such a wonderful piece of art! My favourite instrument. Well done!
Thank you!"
If you find the V+ working fully Ok in your system, you can add it there. It's also usefull info for us, and I guess a lot of people using the same config than you.

Excellent! Thank you. I really wish you deliver on this promise, but I'm skeptical. And for the record, most of my questions - that you volunteered to answer despite my clearly stated misgivings re: your input - were not directed at you. at all. So, you know, don't feel bad about ignoring something that's almost certainly not meant for you anyway.
You can of course feel free to answer one of my questions if they are actually meant for you
that's handy. suggesting i'm ignoring your PMS, which now don't exist. People familiar with your posting style will know you often make rapid & significant edits to your posts, as well as edits made quite some time after the making the original post. Perhaps you didn't wait long enough for me to receive the PMS, before engaging in one of your trademark edits...or deletions in this case.Ingonator wrote:I could be wrong but if the PMs are not tin the "Sentbox" the user should not be able to read them. Have a nice day to you too! Hopefully you can now drop this, as per bluedad's request.
