Logic Question

Hey KVR'ers

I recently started trying out logic and so far its been so good and I am getting the best of both worlds (S1 and Logic) but I am having a issue trying to figure out how I can play a sample through the sampler but make parts of the sample add up accordingly to the position on the piano roll.

For example, If they word HEY was on the 3rd bar and I played a note on the 3rd bar it would not play the sample loaded in the sampler from the start but infact play the word HEY.

Now I know its probably something horribly easy but so far i've been a fool for logic and still learning haha.

Sounds like your sample has a little bit of silence at the beginning of it and the 'Hey' comes in just after it. I'm not familiar with Logic but the one in MuLab allows you to 'trim' the sample and cut off the bit of silence at the beginning so the sample starts at the 'Hey' instead of the silence.

you can trim your samples with the sample editor. watch a tutorial as it is destructive editing. lots on youtube.
