Peter, have you had a chance to try the programmable drummer yet?

Just wondering about # of sounds, ease of use, step or live input etc.
Are the sounds geared for scratchpad use or are they good enough for final mixes.

Also...
"Unmatched sound quality"? really? Better than Multitrack DAW?

I have tried it, and my opinion is that it is good for projects even final mixes if you don't stray WAY out of the tempo comfort zone. If you stretch a rock beat into a slow ballad it will not really sound up to the standard you may want, again my opinion but likely pretty accurate vs what others may chime in with.

Hey, I don't write the copy but we do know audio and have been making professional-grade audio products/plugins longer than most iOS app developers have been so I can see where they are coming from. Plus, companies don't tend to market humbly (we're far from the only ones).

Thanks Peter. I know what you mean about getting good results on time stretching samples.

The Novation Launchpad app is capable of some really clean sample quality after just about any tempo. It's a real art form in itself.

No problem. Typically, what I'm talking about is going far beyond the actual usability of the type of beat you are using though. But then again anything can be considered musical by at least someone, no? :)
