You never know what IK has up out sleeves...urbanfunk wrote:Interesting.... So I'm thinking maybe ik should have a think about a fully fledged daw on ios. I'm a dance music producer from london and have used ik products since your first ever release and must admit your products are a force now in the audio software market. Ios needs a daw that is capable of midi and audio with decent fx processors, midi editor, audio tracks. Now I know there are apps that do this but so far they all fall short for serious edm. I produce breaks, drum and bass, house etc under various psydonyms and the ipad for me is at best a sketch pad.... But it really doesn't need to be as the short comings of ios daws is mainly midi features, and the built in fx processors. Beatmaker is kinda halfway but lacks in the fx processors in a big way, but it has audio tracks, midi, samplers, drum machine etc. Auria is the only choice for anything close to a pc daw yet it lacks midi and some other basic tools that are essential for serious production. Its IU is so sluggish. I'm sure it could be far more effecient. IK multimedia have the capability of making a fully fledged daw with all the trimmings as all the research u have done over the years has led you to be making some of the best audio software out there for pc. I guess ios now too even if I didn't really think much of amplitubes fx for ios when I tried it 6months ago. But that means nothing as u clearly could make them top notch and I'm sure u will... So yeah make a DAW for me so I can be away camping on the beach with my dog but still have the tools for making my edm. If u don't ask you don't get... Right? Peace

If you are asking how much it costs, it is covered on the AmpliTube Studio news or in the app if you have it installed which will make sure you are seeing the proper price for your location et al.

And if we should wonder about new IKM products, we could just go to the website, right?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:If you are asking how much it costs, it is covered on the AmpliTube Studio news or in the app if you have it installed which will make sure you are seeing the proper price for your location et al.

Yes, damned if we do, damned if we don't. No biggie. Thanks for being interested enough to participate, folks. I really didn't know what he was asking and pointed him to the right place. Next I'll get crap for asking people to report technical issues to the people we pay to help resolve them! THE HORROR!!! (oh wait, that already happens regularly).

Aww, crap - I'm still a 4th gen iPod user. And Amplitube started dropping out with the last update (back in March). Two months without access to the app. Of course the competing apps work (Amplit+ and Jamup). And now this new fancy daw-update which does not work with my poor iPod. I do get the point that developers are using/trying the latest available. I myself am a developer in a different branch. What p-sses me off is the fact that every - especially Apple based - apparatus I buy, it becomes obsolete in a very short time.

This does make one pause before commiting money to devices and supporting hardware. I'm still using my iPad 1st gen, for music, but I am seeing less support little by little.

AmpliTube's Specs page states it does work with the iPod touch 4th Generation so it shouldn't "drop out" at all. For that you can contact support for direct help. Due to RAM specs in that generation of iPod, unfortunately the DAW features are just not feasible, though.
I have forwarded this, though, so perhaps it could be made more clear. Thank you.

Some, but not many. I have a Samsung Galaxy I pulled out of storage from a few years back. Currently using a Galaxy Note 2. Sadly, not all of my apps are compatible with my old one, even some that I originally bought on it due to updates. Happens with technology, always growing and moving forward.BiancaNeve wrote:I wonder how many current apps you can run on a 2010 Android 2.2 Froyo device ......gepetto1000 wrote:Aww, crap -What p-sses me off is the fact that every - especially Apple based - apparatus I buy, it becomes obsolete in a very short time.

---I'm tickled beyond imagination at the release of two things that mean nothing to me but I'm glad somebody will get use out of them. Now if someone could make a user preset area on iLectric so I could buy it and use it live.
I still haven't bought this yet and won't until I can change some of the presets to how I like them and then store them.
