yes of course... :) it will have detune / transpose for every sample pad
and we have an insert fx called "multimod" which delivers nice unisono fx
Insert fx can be loaded on every sample pad, too
something really innovative and interesting to use on PC and Mac.
We really focussed on some innovative and crazy features, like the entire loop page or the scratcher feature... or the repeater feature etc
We will upload 10 videos soon, which will explain slowly every feature in detail, there you can see those features in action :)

The Arp is a bit smaller, than the Nexus one. We did not want to make a new Nexus, oder interfere with Nexus in any way. These two should be different products. (btw Phalanx is completely open for sound design and creating banks or presets)
But the Phalanx Arp has a unique feature: You can speed it up with the modwheel, until it reaches a very high speed, where it sounds like an oscillator :)
great for breakes

Doesnt look particularly innovative. I guess its just a vehicle to sell dance samples to kids.

Will it support drag and drop samples onto a pad within phalanx, e.g. drag a sample from windows explorer or inside Studio One's browser?

Post

yes it will support drag and drop, directly from the library AND Windows/Mac explorer, FL Browser etc (all external sources)

Nice! Looking forward to the release and see how quick (ergonomic) it is to set up a drum patch, every mouse click counts.

I think it looks and sounds great. When is it available?

@Dalor
yes we put the main focus on the workflow

we wanted to combine "easy to use" for the simple tasks, and - if wished - provide deep and complex editing possibilities at the same time.

and: its fully customizable, you can setup your own routing, colors, channel views and descriptions, modulation quick access knobs etc... save everything as your personal default settings. This was very important for me, since everybody has its own workflow and preferences.

but my favourite feature is a full "undo" feature. You can undo or redo everything you touched or loaded. Furthermore all used samples are saved inside your song project, so no more missing and "not found" samples on your HD, when trying to load the track several years later - We all know this problem :)

release should be in a couple of weeks is nothing unusual happens
still waiting for the voice dubbing of the videos

Sweet! Last question: When?

The word "Phalanx" sounds like another word for penis envy.
As a descendant of multiple cultures conquered by the Roman Empire, I am legitimately offended by the name of this new product. Will be lodging a complaint with the PC Police in Due order.
You need to limit that rez, bro.

Does this mean it won't load Nexus libraries? Being a Nexus user myself, I'd probably only buy Phalanx if it loads my Nexus libraries.

Post

no it will definately not load Nexus libraries, technically these two formats are absolutely incompatible, I am sorry

Post

and that's completely understandable. why to risk to kill one product with another? also, vengeance is vengeance, refx is refx, even though manuel is behind nexus, too, he's not into the company refx. 2 different pair of shoes.

Does anything load Nexus libraries?
Seems to me Nexus will forever remain a hopeless closed system.

Quite selfish of the developers imo.
