depends on what type of sounds you are after. For someone wanting a broad sound palette with quite deep edit features + soundfont player, you got it with dimension pro. Good sounds, not the best, but still way above average! (well the majority of the lib you get).
Sure there are better sounds out there, but they cost more too. So, looking at price/quality/preset numbers, you get a very good deal. (well only today, tomorrow the sale is over)

I love Dimension Pro. It's great for pop and r&b. I also have Komplete 8 Ultimate but still, Dimension Pro gets it's use.

Mmm....That's a bit unfair...

You don't need to buy the soundpacks...

You can just load waveforms or sfz files and tweak away...

Program Dimension Pro and you'll open up a whole new world of possibilities..

Dimension Pro is a fantastic "rompler" and very under-rated...

It's just not the fan boy's choice and that's a good thing...

We wouldn't like to see it wasted on deaf sheep
No auto tune...

in particular

Planet Earth: World
Virtuoso 2000: Orchestral

I think they're great! I got all the EMU packs in one bundle and I'm using the drumkits in Planet Earth on the record I'm collaborating on now. Kit #12 is especially good. No comment on Virtuoso, haven't used it.

Dimension Pro is an absolute steal at $20! You get sounds you'll be discovering and using for months, and as others have said, you can import your own SFZ sounds. I've had Dimension LE and DimPro for about 6 years, and I still use DimPro for the interesting piano, electric piano, guitar and pad sounds.

It's not great for symphonic instruments or drums, and the E-MU packs I've heard for it actually sound even better in E-MU's own, free Proteus player (sadly, that's 32-bit only).

But DimPro has many more features than a $20 price tag would suggest. I'd grab it over Cakewalk's similar $20 offer on Rapture Pro (which is more for the EDM musician).

Has anyone actually been able to download Dimension Pro after purchasing it for $20? I have been trying for over a week without luck. I understand that their servers are probably busy but this is ridiculous ----

Just checking the Dimension Pro I bought late in 2011.

In my Cakewalk account I get an instant download available when I click it. So no problems here.

Do you find Dimension Pro under "My Registered Products" in your Cakewalk Account?

Oops, didn't make myself clear. I got the e-mail with the download link right away, the problem is the download keeps disconnecting and can't be resumed for some reason. I thought it might be my home DSL at fault so I also tried downloading it at work with the same result.

Can you try downloading with a Download manager, like DownThemAll, that can possibly resume the download if broken.

good allrounder and at $20 a true bargain.

Thanks, Numanoid, I am trying that now. I have been trying to download it in Internet Explorer. :(

To me, "Instant Sitar" alone is worth the low price of admission. When I tweaked the EQ using DPs on-board EQ, the patch really came alive! I love it. I really want to get Arturia Easy Player too.
