Trackballs and switching hands helped me a lot when I had hand problems about 15 years ago. Also, switching the buttons can help a lot, particularly if you get the trackball we all use at JRR:Hink wrote:I switched to a trackball a few months ago, no problem with my hands...I just wanted one...not on my daw though...it's cool. BTW how does switching to your left for your mouse help your arm for playing guitar...isn't it the left hand that is the problem hibidy?

I'm using a trackpad these days, it's the best yet:

I find.... (don't kill me for this.) If I'm playing a card game on the desktop my wrists gets cramped up after awhile.
I like trackpads much much more. I just wish the touchpad. was offset from the keyboard rather directly in front of it.

Glad you enjoyed mate, As you (and all) know I only do it for myself and share with friends but that doesn't mean I do not greatly appreciate feedbackhibidy wrote:That is brutal!
How do you tune your seven?
The seven gets tuned/strung like I would an 8 string (Just without the highest string of course, Pretty much the same idea as I do with most of my 6 strings being treated/used as sevens). The lowest string atm on it is an .80 tuned to G, So drop g with an additional high string if that makes sense Chris.
Like Eric said and we've all told you dude, You don't suck at all. I don't know if it will be of help to you with the problems you are having still I'll throw it out there anyway, My aunty had to have surgery for/on carpel tunnel caused by countless years of typing for a living, To build up strength/rehabilitate after I bought Her one of those grip thingies that are sold for guitar/bass players with the push down things available in different tensions to suit, Might be worth a look (If I'm even on the area(s) giving you grief that is)

my laptop has a track pad but my laptop sits to my left, I made a mouse pad that clamped to the right arm of my rocker/recliner but I do still use the pad on the laptop sometimes. I got tired of my mouse falling off the chair every time I got up then one time it got tired of falling too so I replaced it with a trackball and a cool small qwerty keyboard (logitech, wireless)

my daughter recognized the second right away...great stuff Dean, Lauren loves it tooDean Aka Nekro wrote:Not had much time (for a change) to work on my own stuff but I've just mixed down the second track that goes with the previous one I posted here, Its BAU 7-string for the most part with same old one man idiot (me) responsible for everything on it https://www.dropbox.com/s/lddd7i2c90o7f ... own%29.wav
Still no new toys to talk about thoughAlthough like the previous track I did utilize my beloved 'real' pedals, amp heads/preamp/power amp/combos, Cabs and Mics side-by-side with fully ITB plugins where I'm still relatively a newcomer. Track 01 is this one just in case anyone wants to torture their ear's twice https://www.dropbox.com/s/ro0vqnevfr44l ... own%29.wav
Window shopping is bloody painful, Chris mate sorry to hear the arm is giving you a hard time still and wish it well or at least a coping strategy to come ASAP
John, Nice little practice rig you got setup in the living room mate![]()
All the best to everyone as always

Hi Hibidy, if you have a injury have you tried using Comfrey ointment on it.hibidy wrote: lolz, I appreciate it but yeah, my arm is really giving me trouble again. Not the hands anymore, the arm (they think maybe tennis elbow? Really don't know for sure)
It really is good for relieving pain from bone and muscle injuries.
The kiwiherb one is most popular in N.Z, it is rated organic - so no contamination from pesticides etc.
If you do decide to try it, just be careful it is not a banned product in your country - as some countries do have a ban in place.

I can get it through amazon so I highly doubt it's banned. I'd love to try some. Is it stinky?xtp wrote:Hi Hibidy, if you have a injury have you tried using Comfrey ointment on it.hibidy wrote: lolz, I appreciate it but yeah, my arm is really giving me trouble again. I've been repeating myself time and time again over the last few pages. I was about to do exactly that...Stating the same thing I've already stated.hibidy wrote:I wish I knew what you are talking abouttapper mike wrote:Someone please stop me from repeating myself.... Okay I just did. Carry on
I'm not going to discuss:
My Strat with gold lace sensors
My Tele copy
My Godin Freeway
My Parker
Nashville Tele's, Brent Mason's Tele, James Burtons Tele and the differences in wiring between them.
At least for the next few pages.
I promise.

Its green and has its own smell, hard to say if I'd class it as stinky as I've been using it for different injuries for a number of years and am well used to it.hibidy wrote: Is it stinky?
If it works, you will find you will use a lot of it in the beginning, especially the first month, but after a while the pain seems to take progressively longer to return.
Hopefully it might bring you some relief.
