From what I remember, the oscillator pitch increases/decreases as you go up/down the keyboard. If so, it would be sweet if hihat mode could disable this so open hats used in that mode would just sound like longer versions of closed hats, rather than longer versions of closed hats with a higher pitch.e-phonic wrote:@Alex Cremers, did you set the envelope mode to 'hihat'?
You can do this by clicking above the envelope sliders and change 'trigger' to 'hihat'.
That said, I don't think I'll be using hihat mode as much in the newer version, but I could definitely see some value in a pitch neutral version.

@Funkybot's Evil Twin
You can disable pitch for the 2 noise oscillators! use the 'key' button to disable/enable keytracking.

Will customers know by e-mail when a new version is out, or do we have to check daily on KVR ? (if a new thread is created each time a new beta is released, it will be easy to miss a ocuple of versions)Alex Cremers wrote:In the latest version (beta 20)

Bought it yesterday! Great stuff, will probably be the most automated synth in history!
Bug is on Win Xp, Studio One 2.5.1. Drumatic 4 beta 21
Ive found a bug with the mute of each pad, only kick mute seems to work right now. The "m" signs across the top have no effect when activated.
Bug 2
Trigger/Hold/Hihat gui doesnt update on selection - only after clicking the icon again it changes.
A feature request (or if it already exists if someone could guide me) would be a way to:
A) Use a midi control to display an open tab (a rotary would be amazing!)
B) then have one set of midi controls that apply to only the displayed tab.
i.e. cc1 always affects osc filter cutoff for the open tab, cc2 always affects noise 1 pitch of open tab etc.
Basically means that with a small controller such as the Korg nanokontrol, I have almost hardware synth level control over all aspects of drumatic.
A 2nd feature request would be a way to randomly modulate overall release times.
Its a feature thats missing in alot of drum samplers/synthesisers and although filter an pitch are nice, slight adjustments in decay/release have a huge impact on the perception of a "live" drum sample.
Last thing!
Some synths (Oxium comes to mind) have simple "drift" and "vintage" knobs, which basically slightly modulate the controls randomly. Tiny amounts. Would be so great to have a single control or 2 that modulate filter/osc pitch/amp release. Would solve having to include detailed lfos and changing your beautiful gui.
Thanks!

@jumpercable
The mute/solo bug is known, it will be fixed in the next update.
Bug 2: seems to work correct here... I'll see if I can reproduce it somehow.
Features are noted down on my list. I'll try to finish the synth first before adding new stuff.

I am very happy with the state it is in now. Having bought it on the first week of release, it certainly has come a long way, especially the GUI. The one thing that no one has quibbled about is the outstanding sound quality...unlike another drum plugin cough.. tremor... cough
Looking forward to seeing where the road to v5 takes it. Of course the priority is getting a stable 1.0 out and a Mac version which will bring in more users. A patch browser is really the main thing on my wishlist, so hopefully v5 will have one...
Having a lot of fun hooking up parameters to LFO's in Reaper and routing through effects, as you can really get some very crazy alien grooves happening with this tool.

Beta 23:
- Keyboard now shows active playing notes
- Added 4 presets
- Some code cleanup
Note: I'm working to get Drumatic working in MuLab x64 but it seems to be a hard nut to crack!
It's good to know that most other x64 hosts have no problems whatsoever. I hope to fix this before v1.0.
