Time to vote for your top 5 tracks. All tracks are here.
RULES:
- Give 5 points to the track you think is best, 4 for second, then 3, 2 and 1.
- Voting is open to anyone.
- Last day for voting is 15th June (KVR time).
- If you have entered in the competition, you must vote to be eligible for prizes.
- No voting for yourself.
- Voters must have had 40 prior forum posts before competition start, or have participated in this month's contest.
- In the case of equal scores after voting, entries will be separated by how many 5 pts they got, then 4 pts and so on.
HOW TO VOTE:
Note that following the results of the last rules poll, voting will now be secret.
This means you now vote by clicking in this form here:

To make sure voters are who they say they are, you must write a post in this thread saying you have voted. (writing the single word 'voted' is enough)

Notice the new rule about number of posts required by non-entrants to vote, plus the secret voting system.

First vote!
Ok, maybe not, but I'm the first post about a vote, heh!

Couldn't this form style let you give more points than normal? Like accidentally marking two tracks with 5 points or something. Wouldn't it be possible to have five drop-down lists containing all the entries, one for 5 pts, one for 4, etc.?
Anyway, voted.
Anyway, voted.

As far as I could tell, yes. Another annoying fact is that you can't change your mind without resetting the entire form. Once you give someone ANY points, you can't change your mind and give them zero. Yes, that happened for me, I had to make pencil notes and reset.Kondarivan wrote:Couldn't this form style let you give more points than normal? As an idea, what would be awesome would be some way to listen and rank at the same time. The idea being that liking this better than the previous track would mean that I could click a button to move it up the ranking. This might help with fatigue in voting.

You mean a list view control with order-able content? I'm not sure how far the Google form API goes, but that would be pretty cool to have.

Yes, exactly. Morover, link the content to the soundcloud tracks. Really, if that could be pulled off I think that more people would vote.Kondarivan wrote:You mean a list view control with order-able content? I'm not sure how far the Google form API goes, but that would be pretty cool to have.

After listening to the first 10 tracks I'm speechless!
There is so much creativity in this contest...it's not so easy to vote

I will look into that, but seems it would be just as easy to select wrong songs there as points here?Kondarivan wrote:Couldn't this form style let you give more points than normal? As for order-able content, is it really easier to drag songs around in a 65 song list than clicking 5 times on a scale? I can't see the advantage to be honest, but the big thing about this system is obviously that the form is connected to a spreadsheet with a voting sheet and result sheet so all comes out sorted and ready made for publishing.
@gigue07: As I said in PM your song was missing from the all the other submissions and there was no announcement either so I had no idea you wanted to enter until your post and PM now. What happened?

Except one could easily fix the mistake?I will look into that, but seems it would be just as easy to select wrong songs there as points here?

Plus, it's a much smaller design.

Hey V'ger, it looks like he made an annoucement here, albeit rather simply: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 02#5375002V'ger wrote:I will look into that, but seems it would be just as easy to select wrong songs there as points here?Kondarivan wrote:Couldn't this form style let you give more points than normal?
