Anyway, back to topic: I can confirm renaming the dll works - at least in FL. I've uploaded 20 instances and no crash...yet

PS: For Reaper users, you can alternatively go to Options > Preferences > General > Advanced UI/system tweaks > Restrict REAPER to specific CPUs, and write "0" in the text box. That should eliminate the boredom of going to Task Manager every time you're working at your OSC entry. Just don't forget to turn multithreading back on when you're done.

Exactly, it's a known issue with SynthEdit synths that old-timers will know well. For me it works just to load synths in 'Buggy compatibility mode' in Reaper. (right-click when loading dll in FX list to get the option). Other DAWs have similar options. For FL there's http://www.image-line.com/support/FLHel ... plugin.htm

But any comments on the synth other than the SE bug issues? I find it a very capable synth with a clever and inspiring interface.

I concur... just played with it... great synth. The drift is so sexy.

Also, I could load multiple instances of the FX version of Feldspar with no issues so far.

Nice GUI and cool sound

Too bad the stock bank is so small, but on the other hand, most of those presets are usable. I've started noodling on a song, but we'll see if I manage to actually finish it

Unrelated but a shoutout to Contralogic's other creation RPS-1. A clever drum machine with probability random feature which is rare to see. Loads audio files as well as outputs MIDI notes so quite a useful little thing and free too.

Do it again in FL first and it crashed and crashed and hard crashed ... must my pc hard restarted

But after disallowed "Allow threaded processing" all seems fine ...

The synth sounds really good and i like the much lfos and the arp ... i will see in the next week how to make my first patches.

I agree, that's why I got excited. Kicks with character. I think that the interface needs work, but it's straightforward enough at any rate.

Heard about this month's OSC from V'ger.

Sorry to read about Feldspar crashing for some people - seems like it's a fairly common problem... but why doesn't anyone tell me?

Anyways, I spent some time this evening tinkering with it and re-compiling it with a newer version of Synthedit which hopefully fixes the problem*. Updated version is in the same place:

*and hopefully didn't break something else!
