I love turnado, easy to use, great sound. Love it a lot.
Live fx has become an app that lives on my iPad. Not sure why, just never took to it. App regret candidate. Just doesn't feel right to me. I admit I haven't given it the love it deserves so maybe my opinion is harsh. Maybe.

I don't have both but I do have turnado and I would like to say that it 'just works'!
I also have gross beat. I don't use it much since turnado but the gate effects are good on it. I have tried stutter edit, couldn't get it to work (shame because I use loads of izotope stuff) and effectrix, and glitch 2.
IMO Turnado is by far the smoothest and easiest to use with predictable results.
Its got great graphics, great fx and is easy to automate but also very deep for tweeking. I use it in every track at the moment.

I'd definately like to see the two compared as well. I have LiveFX and am thinking about getting Turnado, but I'd like to get a comparison.

Since I got Turnado I didn't use LiveFX and honestly had forgot about it until I saw this post.
Not that it's all that bad, but Turnado is so much deeper, supports midi clock, midi io, and you have far more control over the fx that also do sound better that I won't be using it anymore, unless there is an update bringing something else and new to the game.
Currently the only + for LiveFX is that you can "automate" the fx right within the app including a few settings for the task(though a bit limited imo), for Turnado you will have to connect to some sequencer, but then it's pretty much no limits as you can send patch changes as well and that almost every param can be automated.
For Turnado I would have prefered an internal event/midi recorder instead of the audio recorder which is a bit useless in an Audiobus world.
LiveFX fx mixer is also easier to use, the slow down and boost buttons are neat for live use and it's nice to be able to control the in and out level, as some fx may make your output very loud or almost silent.
Sugar Bytes put the "barrière" pretty high, but that doesn't mean there's no room left for more cool fx apps.

Live fx is great for just that... Live FX.
Easy to use, it never really sounds bad, but at the same time the effects are still quite basic. But they do make a crowd go "wahughhhhhh".
Turnado otoh is quite possibly one of the deepest apps on the ipad. No joke.
Definitely more of a production tool as well. Remember, it is a direct port of the AU, VST version, with added features. (Xy pads)
Every parameter, of all the effects can be adjusted, modulated, in any manner you can think of.
Think of it another way, you could make LIVE FX, in Turnado. But you couldn't make a turnado out of live fx.
I have Turnado on my studio computer, and still didn't regret buying the ios version. In fact, I think it's one of the apps that is actually better on the ipad than on a conventional computer.

I regret that I didn't act on the Turnado sale.

Yeah. I thought it was just another "mangler" that would get boring and not useful.
