I have one minor issue, the presets folder can't be unzipped, it shows an error.
No such problem here.
Thanks.
Let me download once again, maybe it was a stupid internet problem or something.

EDIT: Nothing, even with Jdownloader app that usually works when this happens didn't work.

I have the same problem with winrar.

Using 7-zip solves the problem for me. :)

I got the same message from WinRar, but the folder containing the .dll files still unpacked ok. Right-click "open file here".

+1 And sine waves on the other 2 as well. And for the LFO.

At the moment we can't type in values for envelope points like "1 dB" for example.

Range 0 to 1 needs to be converted.
+ 1

Can't unzip presets either.

Hi all,
I'm sorry you have issues with uncompressing the ZIP. Apparently, 7-zip generates ZIP files that may be incompatible with some other programs. I will update the ZIP this evening (few hours from now). If you don't want to wait, use 7-zip.

Post

no thank you. no patch

Played with Charlatan the whole day with some occasional breaks. The new oscillator sounds great and has nice harmonics. Adds a whole new palette of tones either alone, in ring mod or in sync (or both together :D ). Sounds cool in every filtersweep I tried and sounds not as full as the square wave but with with more lowend imho. Its easier "to hide" as a sub osc than the square. And sounds awesome in ringmod while modulating osc1 (square) with an lfo.

Great update.

Had no problems in Reaper on my oldschool rig (XP 32-bit SP3,Intel Dual Core 2.5 GHz).

Cheers,
Sebastian

To smartbutt a little: It's better to use 7-zip anyway. WinRAR is shareware, 7-zip is 100% freeware. :)

Hi all

One soundbank maked with the version 1.3 is compatible with the version 1.4?

the different versions of Charlatan will be foward compatible?

Cheers!

Post

Seems its still the 1.3 version on webpage...or is 1.4 hiding inside the 1.3 zip? Thanks
Thank you for everything.

Strange, I can only see version 1.4 on the main page.

Post

you're right...needed to do a page refresh. Thanks. :)
Thank you for everything.

ZIP file is fixed.

EDIT: just to be clear: there's nothing wrong with 7-Zip (it's my favorite archiver in fact: high performance, cross-platfrom, lightweight, free, open source etc.), the problem was I was using the LZMA compression mode for the first version of the ZIP file which as it seems isn't widely supported. Going back to "Deflate" gives you proper "standard" ZIP.
