Note: If one or two posts seem out of context it will be because I have heavily eidted this original post as my initial concerns seem to have been entirley down to my computer. (Numanoids post below has my initial post in quotes).
The Grey Apparatus, The Green Foreman and DRUM DREAM; with more in the pipeline.

Anyway, there are a couple more now; 'Window to Europe' and 'Imago'.

That was one of those I couldn't get on my dial-up connection. I think the download just stopped early, after the initial webpage wanted to load like tons of pictures.

Cheers Runbeer, actually the site runs fine.
btw, that dropbox overload was surely down to the coverage you had in the Computer Music Special. If you haven't seen it, I'll scan your entries and send them to you. I think that would be OK - what with you being the actual dev.
let me know. I'll do it tomorrow.

Yeah it's definitely the CM coverage of that freeware issue, they put like 5 plugs of mine in there. I had over 400MB online and you're allowed 20 GB a day from Dropbox. I guess everyone right-clicked and got them all, or tried.
You don't need to scan it, I don't care.

My answer can't pass because something in it is considered spam. I will open the guest book on a site Creatorum Genius where it will be possible to find out a problem.
The best regards all!

but when I install The Grey Apparatus, I got the blue screen prepared crash.bob bobwood wrote:corrupt installers, pc crashed but it all seems fine now.
Russian dev, new to me. 3 plugins available; The Grey Apparatus, The Green Foreman and DRUM DREAM; with more in the pipeline.
http://www.kvraudio.com/news/creatorum- ... dows-21873I thought it wise to create a new restore point before downloading. This file does not contain viruses
I use XP and IE8 with McAfee scanning the files and I had a few problems getting the installs to work as they were corrupt, but after 4 or 5 attempts I got two of the plugins and found that there is a mirror that downloads: 9_The_Grey_Appara.exe
http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... te]Warning! This file can contain VIRUSES.
On reboot, all three plugins installed and worked fine. I've run a full scan and that hasn't found anything. Everything appears to be fine.
I believe I've sent them a message and if I get a response I'll point them in this direction. It's probably down to XP and IE8 but any feedback would be welcome.[/quote]
How does the plugins play then? I see it stated that it is suitable for new age music, but if you already got something like WusikStation, will this add anything soundwise?

I downloaded the vst, extracted the self extracting archive, and loaded up the VST using savihost, no blue screen or any problems, could play with it straight away. I running Windows 7.
Scanned my system and no viruses found, either before or after.
I'm thinking the warning at the download site is in general than any file you encounter on the net "can be" a virus, so this warning serves thus to say that it is not up to the download provider to guarantee that, but the end user takes his chance. In other words a legal disclaimer.

Gordey Arche, Hi and welcome. Thanks for the synths and replying. As I reported there doesn't appear to be any damage done anywhere and I'll put it down to just of those things that happens from time to time.
Numanoid, Glad you got it OK on Win7. Perhaps it is an IE8/XP problem I had.
I really only put the quoted warnings in to break the post up visually. False positives and all that used to be a real issue with McAfee security but haven't been in the last year or so.
If no one else has similar problems, I'll edit the first post somewhat anyway, which is why I left the thread title like it is.
Cheers all.

I'm using MS Security Essentials and Firefox. MSSE is maybe not the top of the line product, but it has served me well over the last year, so I trust that when it didn't find any virusbob bobwood wrote:Numanoid, Glad you got it OK on Win7. Perhaps it is an IE8/XP problem I had.

You can also do an online virus check for the file: http://www.virustotal.com/ They run multiple virus scanners, so the result should be very trustable.
