Woah that could be really useful but I can't help but think that it might pick up the wrong instrument.

It's algorithm picks up the root chords of the song and in that it's quite accurate. The different instruments are analysed and combined to make up for the 'whole' chord so sometimes you have to fiddle a little with an added 5th or 7th but as long as you have the root you'll always be able to figure it out yourself.
