That would be a bit unexpected. I tried to see if some of the core sound processing code has had any obvious changes, but the source code version control is now failing to give me the information...(There's so much code in HourGlass I can't keep track of all the changes in my own head...) It might be there has been some change that would have changed the processing sound quality in some circumstances, but I don't think I did any extensive directed work towards that. But I will investigate once I get the version control to work.

i'm not exactly a noob but i can't seem to get HG to run on my windows7 machine. i dwnld and put on desktop (just for testing) and try to open HourGlass.exe and get a message: HourGlass has stopped working. tried opening it as administrator, no go. anyone have an answer?

i'm a big fan of granular and feel like i'm missing out

Wild stab in the dark here, but are you running MS Security Essentials by any chance?

If so, it seems to mess with HourGlass (and other things), at least on my system. Put HG in a separate folder and add that folder to MSSE's list of "Excluded files and locations", then try again. Works here, but YMMV.

I have a problem

When I launch Hour Glas its says:

HourGlass Initialized, 8 CPUS Detected.

I can see the envelopes Display but not the transport nor the parameters controls window.

by the way Im on a Mac OS X 10.8.3

Xenakios HourGlass discontinued
