Let me find a site that hosts sounds and I will let you have the sampled finished product. Just have to pass the percussions through some A-B'ing steps to make sure the highs are minimal, the mids are gut wrenching and the lows knock you and your .....:) Should be done by the middle of Monday (tomorrow).
What is the structural integrity of a compound when it is broken down to its wave form?

The same as everything else that surrounds it.

Just keep in mind if they're like 3 hours long, it's unlikely that people will listen to the whole thing

Hey organic io - 3 hours long songs with no popcorn would be a bit much :)

Uploaded a new song; Cantabile with Feldspar with only Sleepytime dBVU and LoudMax; Audio Stems brought into Reaper with PQ33, Limiter6, and dBVU spicing up the mix. Hat tip to maintainer of the kvr osc "Recommended Plugins" page, a collection of useful tools.

Without futher ado ... Let me present "abovethoughts - summer"

This is almost a copy of what's in my VST/VSTi folders!

Great list - whomever AZZZ is. I am bookmarking it now.

One last question. Is mastering in Audacity acceptable?
What is the structural integrity of a compound when it is broken down to its wave form?

Even though its free, it is a powerful tool. I just want to make sure before I start.

For the record, if it's less than 30 seconds I will actually listen to the whole thing...all the way through, I mean.

Pretty sure there's no problem using Audacity for mastering.

What if the first 30 seconds are like "deadmou5e Strobe" and the good .... I should say better stuff is at around the 3 min mark. :0)

Confirming what many here probably know - that REAPER+Wine works impressively well - I will finally participate again :)
Feldspar is really nice and these two specific presets...
I just fear even with this long absence my skills have not really improved, so I hope I can polish it at least a little more before uploading it :)

Depends what you are doing... but it sounds as if you are importing a Wav file? If you go that route, I think you would have to apply your mastering tools to the final master track of your mix, since you can't apply FX to any output.

V'ger I'm sure has more on thsi
