Nexus is awesome mate and worth every $, go for it, there is no better and more complete VST with truckloads of sounds on board - ready to use and almost every single sound onboard is useable.
For me there is nothing that comes close, even though lately I started getting a bit more into hardware and I love my Virus TI2, I think I like Nexus more and is absolutely easy and quick to use, beautiful GUI and fantastic and easiest patch browser and it just works, and yes sounds awesome and beautiful.

Nexus is a joke compared to the power of zebra

Please define "the power of Zebra" for me... is it the CPU power you need for layering 4-6 instances of Zebra to recreate a sound of a single instance of Nexus???

Or the power you need yourself to create all the presets yourself, which you get from Nexus right out of the box???

Ok, enough of that...

Of course, Zebra is one of the allmighty Synths out there, very capable of nearly everything...
But it needs of course someone really using it... It's a specialist in creating or tweaking presets in all kind of stuff

Nexus is nearly the opposite but not worse in terms of quality... many stuff is more easy to realize with Nexus, but of course not as tweakable as Zebra...


To OP: The decision should be only in what you want to achieve...

Are you a "poweruser", who can really make use out of the huge synthesis capabilities of Zebra or want to learn to be like this, but be aware of, that for really good EDM presets you have to spend much effort and time??

Zebra will not dissapoint you in any way... no need to wait till Zebra 3 then, Zebra 2 is allmost perfect for most needs...


Are you more the "normal" user, who spends more time on choosing the right preset (and having many of them ...all electronic genres and perhaps some more) and tweak it to your liking in a top notch quality????

Nexus will win here against any competitor on the market... there is simply nothing else, which offers for these kinds of sounds even an acceptable amount of presets without having the need of extensive work and knowledge...
This is what you pay for (perhaps a bit more, but well invested...)
