Looking for Instrument Patches

Hi,

Taking a bit of a beating from a buddy about ZynAddSubFX. His argument is that I look at the Hammond SK1, as demonstrated in:

I am very happy with ZynAddSubFX. But, I need to expand and refine my instrument presets to meet particular audience requirements. In particular, I need to refine the patches I have in the following 4 categories:

Leslie speaker sound

Rhodes

Wurlitzer

Clavinet

Does anyone have some instrument presets they can share with me for these 4 categories?

Thank You,
SHD

Not specific to your needs, a repost of available banks
that may be of more general interest:

Hi, here are more excellent soundbanks for zyn users,
from Folderol, Cormi, Laba170 and Adriano Petrosillo,
and the Author himself, in case you, or anyone have missed them. They work in Yoshimi also.

For this next one below, right-click on the link, and choose
save-as with your browser:

Also, Paul Nasca, zynaddsubfx author has provided 180 sounds in this archive:

unsorted_zynaddsubfxParameters20060615.zip found here:

http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/doc/instruments

Use the 'open parameters' menu to load these multi-timbral patches,
not the banks! Place the expanded archive a separate folder, (named like aaa-zyn so it's first in the file requester), in
/usr/share/zynaddsubfx
some fabulous sounds are in there, so rename them to your needs!
Save your new creations with menu 'save parameters'.

Cheers

To load its soundbanks us the

menu Instrument --Show instrument bank

then at the empty banks panel that opens, at the top, click the black triangle button
by the Refresh Bank List button, and select from the list that appears.
The location for zynaddsubfx soundbanks is

/usr/share/zynaddsubfx or a .zynaddsubfx folder in /home/your

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qjackctl links 4 and 8 for connections how2

To record with some simplicity, use timemachine, with hydrogen and zynaddsubfx, connected to it,
using qjackctl.

To load zynaddsubfx soundbanks use the
menu Instrument --Show instrument bank

then at the empty banks panel that opens, at the top, click the black triangle button
by the Refresh Bank List button, and select a bank from the list that appears, then select a sound.
For multi-timbral, in the bottom half of the gui, click the triangle by the right-side
of >1< and it changes to 2
Click the 'enable' widget nearby, and change the midi channel at the right side from 2 to 1
Repeat for more sounds. Change from Poly to mono if cpu max is soon reached.

Use menu 'save parameters' to save your creation, and 'open parameters' to reload it.
The free version of Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 has a generous collection
of fx modules, to get at some of the keyboard nuance you desire.

Just as a heads up most of the instrument patches should now be in the instruments git submodule that is included with the main git repo of zyn.
I think I still have one or two of these banks missing though, so I'll need to double check which ones that is and add them in.
Thanks for the links.

Yes, I am now using GIT instead of the download from Source Forge. LOADS of patches, many are very useful to me.

Thank you, all, kindly for your assistance. Much appreciated.

I'd like to bump this thread, as it seems that some patches/banks are no longer supplied in the recent update of Zynaddsubfx (linux).
In particular, there are two sounds that I demoed on my website that seem to have vanished since the update.

The demos are called "Prophet Horn 2" and "RB Spectrovox 2," the first from a bank called "leads" and the second from a bank called "RB Zyn presets." You can hear the demos on this page:
http://www.amsynth.com/ZynaddsubfxDemosBanks.html

Any info about where these banks have "gone" much appreciated..

The Clavi(nova) sounds great, Stevie Wonder. Can you please share that patch?

Looking for that Stevie W. 70's sound, and it sounds like you have it.

Kindly,
SHD

The problem is, I can't find it! That's why I bumped this thread. It was included in a bank of sounds that are not in the current version of Zyn.

Any help much appreciated..

Just a shameless plug :)

Collection is the latest version of what is quite an old patch set now - 128 patches, and Companion is the set I'm currently developing (slowly) - 23 patches
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

I know they are in the Windows version, but I also had them on my (linux) PC.

It appears that a recent package update was done and, lo and behold, certain patches are now gone...!

Thanks folderol. Unfortunately, they don't include the patches that are "missing."

Still, I'm curious to hear the new ones you're creating! :)

Thanks for digging these out. There are a few I don't think I've seen also some duplicates - not really a problem).

Nice job on the demos :tu:
